Memo - Admistrative Plan of Action Empty Memo - Admistrative Plan of Action

Post by DCBurke Sun Jun 19, 2011 1:08 pm

    To All POLICE DIVISION personnel.
    19062011

A new plan of action for the police department has been released. During the next few months, we plan on making some changes to the complete department, as well as opening a new division.
    Patrol:
We aim to increase all units to one officer per car. All new recruits will be assigned a mentor officer to ride with before receiving thier own unit. We also aim to move the Patrol OIC and his k9 unit to a SUV and reinstall his patrol car for standard duty. This means we'll have 8 patrol cars as well as a supervisor vehicle. The Unmarked units will be moved to other divisions. The patrol division will now have room for up to 17 officers (two per car plus the supervisor vehicle) and will aim for at least 8 plus Patrol OIC
    Traffic:
We aim to increase patrol coverage by including one more stealth patrol unit for Traffic, two marked Traffic units, and an auxiliary service truck. The former UMC-1 for patrol will be transferred to traffic division for working speed traps. We will then have room for a total of 6 traffic patrol officers, two service officers for the truck, a supervisor, two commerical enforcement officers, and a collissions unit investigator.
    Tactical Apprehension Crew:
We aim to increase the fleet to it's full potential in the rapid response team, Heavy Rescue, Medical, Negotiation team, Officer Response and a personnel carrier. This will then increase full numbers needed to:
RRT - 2 officers, Negotiator, Sniper
HR - 2 Officers, Sniper, Scout
TEMS - Officer, 2 Tactical medics
    Negoations - 2 Negotiators, Scout
ORV - TAC Commander (OIC), Additional Officer (Possibly non-TAC)
    Personnel Truck - 4 Officers

In addition to increasing max numbers in these divisions, we also aim to re-open the agency, which was closed for major upgrades and the agents were transferred to other agencies or divisions. Staffing for this division will include Agents, Special Agents, Forensic Officer, Department Director (OIC) and criminal profilers. There will be an increase then of up to 40 new positions, requiring police experience. Upon initial opening, we are only expecting to place into service the Major Crimes unit, opening 5 positions, one being a supervisor position.

Who is the HR officer responsible for driving it?

The Officer of a vehicle doesn't drive. The Heavy Rescue does not have an officer in charge, since they'll never roll alone, but as a secondary unit. The driver is between you two to decide

Are we wanting to be fully staffed in patrol, traffic, and tac before the Agency is reopened?

I'm aiming for at least 80% staffing, that's 6 patrol cars, a supervisor SUV, 3 traffic cars + traffic supervisor, Traffic AUX truck, and at least having RRV and HR1 ready in TAC before I open the first division in the agency

I may be interested in transferring to one of the marked vehicles for traffic after they're unveiled. Is that option available?

Possibly yes. Traffic will have two marked vehicles, two semi marked and traffic investigation. Then the super. If your partner and you are both up to par, I may send you to a marked vehicle as a training officer for new recruits

Far as I can tell. Last I heard from Thomas, he was going to be flaky because of wedding plans. Jackson used to be around when I first started. I haven't seen any signs of the other two. But I don't let it get to me. It just means I have more time I can devote to writing calls.

I think Jackson had a LOA, just hadn't seen Linda or Ledger in a while.

Linda never said anything about disappearing to me, so I never knew anything was wrong. As for Ledger, he is slated to be replaced soon, since he isn't on enough to function properly

I dunno, police will need resturcturing. I'm going to review the rosters, and organize as needed, which may mean lowering unit counts in some area, so we don't have 10 in one division, each full and the other division struggling with two. I'll also be looking for TAC personnel soon if we get omre police recruits

Try to limit transfer. We had a full roster, then most switched to traffic/tac and completly destroyed the base patrol. Then they all left eventually. :/

Why don't we in traffic have a supervisor and then two guys at the most, with everyone in their own unit? For now, and if we start to grow then we could add a few more spots. That's just a thought. What are your thoughts?

    I'll make it official here:
Ledger has been removed from active duty for the time being, and will be replaced interim by Lt. Libor, as acting OIC, since traffic is still a baby division. Once it grows to three full units, I'll appoint a new OIC
