A new plan of action for the police department has been released. During the next few months, we plan on making some changes to the complete department, as well as opening a new division.
Patrol:
We aim to increase all units to one officer per car. All new recruits will be assigned a mentor officer to ride with before receiving thier own unit. We also aim to move the Patrol OIC and his k9 unit to a SUV and reinstall his patrol car for standard duty. This means we'll have 8 patrol cars as well as a supervisor vehicle. The Unmarked units will be moved to other divisions. The patrol division will now have room for up to 17 officers (two per car plus the supervisor vehicle) and will aim for at least 8 plus Patrol OIC
Traffic:
We aim to increase patrol coverage by including one more stealth patrol unit for Traffic, two marked Traffic units, and an auxiliary service truck. The former UMC-1 for patrol will be transferred to traffic division for working speed traps. We will then have room for a total of 6 traffic patrol officers, two service officers for the truck, a supervisor, two commerical enforcement officers, and a collissions unit investigator.
Tactical Apprehension Crew:
We aim to increase the fleet to it's full potential in the rapid response team, Heavy Rescue, Medical, Negotiation team, Officer Response and a personnel carrier. This will then increase full numbers needed to:
RRT - 2 officers, Negotiator, Sniper
HR - 2 Officers, Sniper, Scout
TEMS - Officer, 2 Tactical medics
Negoations - 2 Negotiators, Scout
ORV - TAC Commander (OIC), Additional Officer (Possibly non-TAC)
Personnel Truck - 4 Officers
In addition to increasing max numbers in these divisions, we also aim to re-open the agency, which was closed for major upgrades and the agents were transferred to other agencies or divisions. Staffing for this division will include Agents, Special Agents, Forensic Officer, Department Director (OIC) and criminal profilers. There will be an increase then of up to 40 new positions, requiring police experience. Upon initial opening, we are only expecting to place into service the Major Crimes unit, opening 5 positions, one being a supervisor position.
