Re: What just grinds your gears in RL
Me too. Seen a guy coughing up a BUNCH of flem and I was holding the vomit bag when I was in the medic. Looked in there and nodded my head 'yes'. I was thinking, 'huh, pretty clear...is that a booger? No? ok no'. I looked deep inside and everything then gave it back to the guy who was supposed to hold it. Right after we got back to the station, I took off meh stethoscope and got me some mayonnaise, chips and finished off my sandwich. Ah good day. I didn't like the fact that when I was riding on the ambo an old lady asked me while I was taking her Blood glucose:
Do you know what you're doing?
I just looked up at her and smiled while one of my partners answered that question for me haha. Man I hate that when people see a kid doing things like this, they think they have no idea what they're doing.

haha me too, I could see the most disgusting thing and I will not throw up everyone else will but I wouldn't but if I go on a rollercoaster I would..... Weird but true, okay maybe I wouldn't throw up but ya know I would be very light headed.

Re: What just grinds your gears in RL
Same with me and heights. I can be up 420 ft on a rollercoaster, but when it comes to going up like 20 ft on something, I get all scared. Gotta face my fear haha, been trying to not get scared and it's working.

No the children did. Some messed up psychopath cut up his girlfriend, and threw her out in a suitcase behind her house, a couple kids playing in the area of woods behind her house(where she was dumped) found the suitcase and opened it, as children do, expecting nothing, but found several peices of a dead woman.. Pretty traumatising stuff
As for the rollercoaster stuff, I've only ever gotten so dizzy I've had trouble standing (that is without influence from substances )
I went to the carnival and the only rides left open were the ones that spin you repeatedly. I rode those for 2 hours, non stop, since it was wet and there was no lines. Long story short, I learned to take a break once in a while when doing that stuff

Wow around here if we find a suitcase we call bomb squad right away but considering the kids opened it and found that, that's awful I'm sure they still see that everyday

Re: What just grinds your gears in RL
It wasn't a breifcase, but instead just a standard discarded suitcase you use when you travel as your checked baggage. We don't call bomb squad unless it's suspicious, to see a wet, damp, or smelly discarded suitcase in the woods is common ground, people obviously find it too hard to throw the trash on the side walk to get picked up by the garbage trucks, so instead will go to the woods to dump it

Re: What just grinds your gears in RL
I work as a second job as a Ride supervisor at an Amusement Park here in Hot Springs. Called Magic Springs and Crystal Falls. It also has a water park attached to it. We recently promoted another supervisor. Well long story short, one of our technicians, her, and me had to climb to the top of our wooden coaster. Now, Jeff (tech) and myself didn't have a problem climbing up, but Amber (New Supervisor) was scared ****less, which some of the wooden steps we walk on buckle down and if it snaps you fall 100ft straight down. We had to wait for Amber at the top for about 10 mins.
And, i'm like everyone else I have a strong stomach. Nothing bothers me. I've had a patient puking their guts out in the back of the truck, then clear the hospital and go eat greasy cheeseburgers (YUM!!)

He's in Newfoundland I think so it would be pretty big am I right? Oh I don't know if I would be the ones to say this but Floan will be gone for a bit since he got a fire call like at 9:01 Eastern time so uhhhh yeah. I wanna see more guts but no head. IDK why. If your head popped off or looks worse than you're body when you're dead, leave me about 200 feet back. My friend went to a suicide call when a guy shot his face off but he was still living so imagine transporting that to the hospital. Guy killed himself when he got back out though.

Here, even if you can drive amazing, you'll never take out your nice car in the winter unless it's neccessary for life because the salt WILL destroy it. Even if it only sits wet for 15 minutes at a time, every single time the car goes out, that'll kill it,

Re: What just grinds your gears in RL
we had a couple kids two years ago streetrace with their girlfriends, one lost control and went over a bridge onto RR tracks. The car landed on it's top and killed the two kids, the girl was one of our best atheletes. The kids in the other car also crashed shortly after, hit a mini van.... luckily no one was severly injured in that one. I guess thats kinda why I don't really care for the idea of street racing.

I wouldn't say we hate them. Because I don't, I've been on plenty of BS calls. And I will be on many more. Just part of the job. People will do stupid stuff. That's why we make fun of them and laugh about it, when it's 3:30 in the morning and were making the hour drive back to the station from the hospital.

Re: What just grinds your gears in RL
What grinds my gears is people who give their kids stupid names. I'm not talking about "boy named Sue" incidents either. I'm talking about people who have a kid, and can't come up with a name, so they throw together anywhere between 4 and 7 letters, and keep moving them around until it's something that can be said by the average person. Case in point: I ran into a girl who I had known in elementary school, and hadn't seen for probably close to 15 years. She had 3 kids, the boy was named Qale (pronounced like quail) and her baby girl was named Elaura (because Laura was too normal), and the older daughter was Zoie (the most normal of the 3 names). I asked her, point blank, what the fu*k she was thinking, and she replied "I wasn't, I was high on drugs for all 3"

There is this girl in my neighborhood (you won't believe this) and her name is Twomillion (I'm not sure if that's how you say it) Mercedes Dawson. I just said what the ****!!!!! Stupid parents man just plain freakin' stupid.

Re: What just grinds your gears in RL
I used to envy the kids that didn't have a middle name, for some reason I thought it was cool. Then I realized they don't have a middle name because their parents were too lazy and apathetic to care enough.
Twomillion? That's right up there with the jerk-offs that demand their wives name the kid ESPN, or the ding-a-lings that sell the naming rights on eBay.

5 New things.
1. People who complain about my music, then when I say the slightest negative thing about their music they get mad and defensive.
2. People who don't know how to go through a f***ing toll plaza on the highway, it really isn't that hard. You have to be a complete idiot to realize when you're 20 feet away from the plaza, that you're in the wrong lane and need to go to the other side.
3. People who suck at driving in general
4. Volunteers that are only firefighters to make themselves look cool and heroic. I just heard a story from somebody, about what a volunteer fire department did to her house for no reason. It's not even my house, but it made me really mad.
5. Spoiled kids. I saw a girl who couldn't be older than maybe 9 years old at a diner this morning, who what constantly on her phone. Why the F*** would a 9 year old need a cell phone? Hell, I could probably even live without a cell phone.
EDIT:
And one more thing. People who don't understand the difference between "Reply" and "Reply to All" in an email sent out to a group of people.

What's worse is the ones that become career emergency workers to say they are a career guy... Someone who wants the job for the right reasons could have that and be happy with the salary.

Obviously because she can't live without being in touch. I need my cell phone for work, and I use it for this site a lot as well, not totally neccessary though for anything other than work. Mind you it is a pretty neat tool that I enjoy greatly.

Haha good point.
Here's one: People that are driving in front of you and drive really slow. You pull up closer to them and they drive even SLOWER! It's just rediculous, how they try to piss you off just by driving slow. I was with my friends on the way to Chicago and his mom just passed up this guy that was like doing 10 MPH under the limit. It was funny.
