"PC-8 to COPA any further on this?"

As I pull up I see a group of about 8 people walking together pushing each other. There walking away from me so I pull up next to them and get out. I walk up to them and notice one is kind of acting suspicious.

"UMC-1 is on scene go ahead and roll one other patrol car code 2 because of the size of this group"

"My name is Corporal Linda with the ERT PD. I need to have a visit with ya'll for a little bit. I need all of yall just to take a seat on the curb for a minute"

6 of them sit down like I asked but 3 of them are looking at each other. I turn my head to my shoulder so I could talk on my radio and the next thing I know 1 of them takes off running.

"Linda to COPA foot chase with 1 suspect. Running down long street, wearing a white hoodie and blue jeans. I'm going to need help"

"copy that linda, requesting any units in area respond code 3 to location to assist with a foot pursuit."

"now he's running down an alley behind some houses on long street. Need some back up"
*I try to keep up but he's way ahead of me now but still not going to give up on this guy*

"COPA show me enroute. Linda whats your current location"

"I've lost him in the alley way on long street. He's hiding out in someones yard I bet. I want you to set up a perimeter."

"COPA Show me enroute to back up NHR01"
*rolls up to long street and kills the lights and siren*
"Linda do you have a better description on the perp"
*Turns the car around to positions it to have a good view of long street and then parks it keeping the engine running*
"Show me at the corner of Long and 4th with the length of long street visually covered do we have other units to set up on other blocks or can we get PPD to send over a chopper?"

"PC-1 Responding, uh..what about the other guys you had rounded up, want me to go check on them?"
*Flicks his lights on and begins driving towards the scene slowly.

"Pc-6 arrving, Linda, where do you need me to go?"

"Suspect is about 5'8 white hoodie, blue jeans, white male. I lost him about the middle of the alley way on Long street. Libor set up and start walking my way and Russo walk on the street side and see if you see anything."

I wait for Libor to show up to help me search the back yards that I saw him by.

"Blanc you can go check on them, I was more worried with the guy that ran obviously he has something to run for"

*Pulls up only finding 2 people talking nearby
*Flips on his director bar and steps out
*Nearly tripping on the curb regains his balance and walks up to the men
*Grabs his flashlight and flick it on shining it at them
'Police'l
'Whaaa?'
'Keep your hands above your waist ok?'
'Yeaeaaaaa'
*Hears the men mumble thing he doesnt understand because of the wrods slurring to much
"PC-1, only 2 are still here, all others have fled"

*I park at the end of the alley and walk to Linda with my squad flash light (bigger, brighter than ones on belt)*

"hey, so what's happening?"

'Man everybody complied but him and he took off running so I ran after him. Fast little rabbit if you ask me. I lost him around here and I see a couple sheds that we can check we just need to jump the fense'

*Walks back over to the men
'Can I see your ID Sirs?'

*Takes the mans ids which took around 5 minutes to actually get out of their wallets
*Gets in his patrol vehicle running their names on the EAT

*Steps out of his vehicle and walks up to the men
'Josh can you stand up for a second?'
*Helps the man up due to his inability to do so himself
*After doing so puts some cuffs on him and seats him in the back of my patrol vehicle, and does the same to johnny.
"PC-1 has 2 in custody."

"Linda to Blanc see if you can get info about there friend that ran"

*walks the street up and down a few times*
"Linda i dont see anyone here do you need me anywhere else?"

"10-4 UMC-1"
*Opens the back seat and lets Johnny out slowly
*Helps the man over to the hood of the vehicle where he leans on the hood, most likely putting a dent on the hood
'Ok sir, what is your name?'
'Bonny!!'
'Im sorry?'
"BONNNY!!!'
'Ok Johnny, How many acholoic beverages have you consumed during the period of the last 8 hours or so?'
'None!'
'You are positive?'
'YEssssh!'
'You are willing to take a field sobriety test right?'

*After a few minutes of giving the test the results are unsurprisingly Failed
'Ok sir, can you answer a few questions for me?'
'Yea'
'Who have you hung out with tonight?'
'Bob, JB, Christian, and uhh Fat Man.'
'Ok, what are JB's and Fatman's Real names?'
'I dunno, its been to long since ive called them by their real names.'
'Ok, which one did the other officer pursue tonight?
'Uhh Christian.'
'Ok, Thank you for your co-operation.'
*Kindly seats the man back in his cruiser
"PC-1, I have the first name of 1 Suspect, Name:Christian, Ill try to get more out of him in a second"

'sounds good.'

*I walk up to the fence and check over it to make sure it safe to go over.*

'ok, we're clear, ready to move?'

*Again, opens the back door but, this time does not help the man out
'Ok Sir, so where does Christian Live?'
'I dunno, we usually meet up at the bar, he says he lives like 3 minutes east of the bar.'
'Ok sir'
*Shuts the door again
"PC-1, Suspect supposedly lives 3 minutes away from the bar they came from."

*Driving to the scene, I monitor the radio for activity and information on the progress of the situation. I decide to get an update from Libor to see where I'm needed, so I grab the radio mic of the centre console, press down the PTT button and speak:*

"PC-6 Libor, this is PC-7, I'm en route, do you have a task for me, over?"

"Linda to Halls meet up with Russo and check the area with him"

'Alright Libor I'm ready'

We jump the fence and proceed to the shed.

"This is PC-2, responding Code 1, direct me where needed. Over," I pulled out of the ERT complex, indicating right onto Trulit Interpass, heading to Phoxlind. There were pockets of traffic, but it was all flowing, so I kept driving. I tapped my fingers on the wheel and checked my watch. No need to rush I thought, braking behind the other cars at the traffic lights.

"Can I have a suspect count in custody?"
((just to clarify I didn't miss anyone))

"Linda to COPA Blanc said that the others fled and only had 2 still there"

"PC-1 Standing by waiting for additional orders."
*Walks to the front of his vehicle rubbing the dent on his car
'Dangit!'
*Estimates the dent is about 1/4 inches or less in depth, but clearly visible
"PC-1 Reporting small dent front hood"
*Sits on the curb himself waiting.

I pulled up on scene and turned on the courtesy light to check my EAT and light equipment. I ignored the emergency lights, and parked at the side of the road, leaving runlock and the headlights running. I opened my door, and whilst climbing out grabbed my ERT Jacket off the passenger seat, and pulled the keys out. As I stepped on the pavement, I slammed the door and then walked round to the back of the car, opened the trunk and grabbed the stronger flash-light out of the boot. "PC-2 is on scene." I transmitted through my radio as I slammed the trunk and locked the car. I started walking over to Blanc, ready to help him with transport if necessary. 'Alright Antoine?' I asked, as I arrived by his squad car.

'Ok, just, nothing.'
'Hey could you do me a huge favor and do a sobreity check on the guy on the driver side seat?'
*Points to the man

*I look around not seeing the suspect.*

'Ok Linda, ready for the first shed?'

'Nevermind I got it.'
*Opens the driver's side door gently pulling the suspect out and directing him to the sidewalk
*Pushes the man onto his car
'Do you have anything illegal, or anything that could stick me, such as needles, on you?'
'Naww'
'Ok'
*Begins patting down the suspect starting from the legs and going up
*Finds nothing in the clothes but then asks for the suspect's shoes
*Sees the man begin to run with cuffs on
*Grabs the cuffs before he gets away and shoves and holds him down on the car
'Hey, Jackson, can you get his shoes off, he obviously has something in 'em.'

'Ready when you are Libor'

"PC-8 this is PC-7, what's your location, over?"

*I enter the end of 4th avenue when I see the other patrol cars. I turn off my lights and siren and slowly drive over to the awaiting Russo's reply.*

"PC-8 im at long and 4th waiting for your arrival"

'On it,' I replied, as I walked towards the man. I pulled up his left leg and tugged off his shoe, a nike, quite good for a drunk. I dropped his leg and pulled up the right one, tugging that shoe off too. 'Nikes, quite decent for him,' I said to Blanc, putting the man's shoes on the hood of his car, so we could check them after. 'So there were 4 or 5 more who legged it after Linda tried to get one guy.' I asked. Unsure about the entire situation.

*Places the man, cuffed, in the back of his patrol car so he has no attempt of fleeing
*Walks up to the front of the vehicle dumping the contents of the right shoe on to the dented hood
*While sorting it all out finds a bundle of small bills
*Begins sorting the bills out noticing the vary from 1-20 dollar bills
*Counts 300 dollars in total
'Lookey here Jackson.'

'That's a lot of bills,' I say, whistling. 'I'm suspecting theft, lemme grab some evidence bags,' I told Blanc, as I started to walk back to my squad car to grab evidence bags out of the trunk. I stepped down onto the road off the sidewalk and clicked open the car. I pulled out a small sling bag filled with some evidence taking kit, bags, gloves and a small camera as well as some other things, though the camera was just mine, in case we needed to take pictures straight away, but usually detectives arrived before we needed to.

*I look at the door of the shed and see obvious forced entry as the door has been kicked in.*

'Ok, I think this is the one, lets go.'

*We stack up on the side beside the door.*

'3,2,1 *I show with my fingers.* *We burst through the entry way where I see the suspect under an old bed frame.*

'POLICE DEPT, DONT MOVE!'

"Dispatch we got on suspect in the shed."

After pulling on my gloves, I put the bills and the shoe in separate bags and zipped them up. I placed both of the bags on the hood again and left his other shoe for Blanc to check. "PC-6 everything okay out there sir? Over," I put my radio back on the flap and then grabbed the evidence bags and headed back to my cruiser.

*I pull up beside officer Russo and park my patrol car. I turn the engine off and remove the keys from the ignition, take my seatbelt off and exit the car. I lock the doors and hang the keys in my belt as I walk over to Russo.*

'Hey rookie, I'm Andy Halls, welcome to the force!'

*I shake Russo's hand firmly.*

'Do you have any bearings on where the suspects might be at this time?', I ask Russo.

"PC-2 to an available unit. I have what looks like a group of males, on Long's Lane, near the Japanese District intersection. Could be other suspects, I'm heading over there now, may need assistance. I turned on the more powerful flashlight and started walking away from the police cruisers. I shone the torch at the group, they were too far away for a definite ID, but they mostly looked medium-height, a few stocky ones, a skinny but tall one, and then a fatter one, but I couldn't ID the amount of people in the group.

*Watches as Jackson places the bags onto the hood
'Hey, thanks.'
*I say as Jackson begins taking interest in some nearby persons.
*Takes the bags, opens his front door and pulls the trunk lever.
*Walks to the rear of of his vehicle and gently pulls the trunk open
*Places the baggies in their designated spot and leaves the trunk open
*Walks again to the front dumping the contents of the other shoe on the hood, a small, holstered knife small knife.
*Walks to the rear again and grabs an evidence baggie placing the knife in it,, then walking again to the rear of his vehicle placing it in its designated spot
*Opens the driver's side rear door again, more roughly pulling the suspect out
*Directs the suspect to the sidewalk and gives the man a sobriety check, which he fails
*Almost draggin the man, walks to the driver's side of the vehicle, placing the man in the rear
*Shuts the door, double checking to make sure it is locked
*Opens the driver's door, leaning in to turn his lightbar off
"PC-1 has 2 in custody, 2 intoxicated, 1 has a warrant, awaiting further orders."
*Watches Officer Jackson ready to head in his direction at a moment's notice.

"Pc-4 is en route to PC-2's available unit Call"

*I get in my car and start heading to Long's Lane to assist Pc-2*

*I point in the direction of officer Jackson who is approaching a group of people.*

'Might be something here, let's head over!'

*I motion for officer Russo to follow me and start walking casually over to the group of people and officer Jackson. On the way over I greet officer Blanc with a nod and a quick salute.*

((By the way, after looking at the map I realise that Long's Lane don't intersect with 4th Avenue. So how are we on Long and 4th? ))

'Hey you!' I shouted at one of the men, who was sat down on the sidewalk. He looked up at the light and then covered his face, it was quite bright, and he was either drunk or just tired, probably drunk, then just looked back at the floor. I kept moving forward, flashlight up, until I was only fifteen yards away.

'Hey guys, any reason for you being here?' I asked, trying to be friendly, didn't need another foot pursuit. One of the men slurred something. 'You been drinking?' He replied with a vigorous shake of his head, but I didn't believe him, or the state of his friends. 'Ok, guys, just need you to stand up and put your hands on your head for a minute.' Most of them muttered things but did so, and one refused to do anything, and laid out on the road. 'Stand up sir.' I ordered him, he did, but realising what was going on, took one look at me and started to run, he had something to hide.

"PC-2 in a foot pursuit down Japanese District, drunk man attempting to flee. Someone needs to watch these other guys, don't want to lose them." I shouted into my radio as I started to chase the man, his lack of kit giving him in the edge in the first few strides, and then the adrenaline kicked in, and I didn't realise how heavy my gear was.

'Libor I checked this shed and no ones here. I think we lost him.'

(Sorry guys we had an ice storm yesterday and I've been the busiest I have been in months. Godmode me if you need to I'm still at work been on for 48 straight may be even longer. Sorry)

*Sprints over to the other suspect who have began to get up, but fell on his face.
*Places my right hand on my sidearm

*Watches as one of them fall flat on their face
*Grabs a pair of cuffs and places them on the the suspect
'Whhyy you arresttin me?'-he says
'You are not under arrest, I'm just detaining you'
*Listens to the man ramblin on several racial slurs, and many other things he cannot understand.
"PC-1 has 1 in detained."

"PC-2 calling off pursuit due to more urgent call." I turned back and let the man run, picking up an ID card that had fallen out of his pocket as he'd attempted to flee. "COPA, can we get someone down here to transport the three men we've got?" I asked over the radio, as I arrived back by Blanc and our squad cars. "PC-2 is clearing the scene for bomb threat call, takes precedence over vandals." I said into the mic, the last bit mostly to myself.

*gets back in car and switches on lights and sirens headed towards the call*
