House Description
Small one-bedroom apartment on the second floor of a rowhouse.
It's in OK shape, some renovation carried out a few years ago prior to me moving in. Consist of a small entryway/mud room just inside the entrance door, which lead into a small hallway.
In the hallway there's two doors, one on each side.
Left is the bedroom with one queen size bed, closets and nightstand.
Right door leads to the bathroom/toilet, a tiled room with a corner shower, a regular toilet and a sink with a mirror in front of it, some shelves on the right and a wall cabinet on the left with my stuff on/in them.
At the end of the entrance hallway is the living room, with windows out to the back yard area. There's a wooden floor like in the rest of the apartment with the exception of the bathroom. A couch and a recliner is over in a corner with a sofa table in front of them, a flatscreen TV hanging on the opposite wall. Under the TV is a stand/table where my media centre is located right beside my cable tv decoder and an old Nintendo 64 with one controller.
Against the wall in the corner by the TV and couch are two high, thin bookcases with various books, DVD's and Blu-ray discs on them.
There's a desk over by the other side of the room, with my computer on it. It's a self-built computer with a 24" screen connected to it, keyboard, mouse, the usual stuff... Mostly used for browsing the Internet or catching up on the news.
Separated from the main living room with a half wall is a small kitchen. In the corner facing the living room is a bar-style breakfast table with two barstools for seating. Along the wall, below the only window, is the kitchen counter with ceramic cooking plates and a sink on it, and a dishwasher built in beneath. A refrigerator/freezer is located at the end of the counter, and a oven and a microwave is built into the wall on next to the breakfast table. Small, but functional.

I live alone, no family as of yet. No pets, though I like dogs...

Outside on the street I park my grey 2000 Chevrolet Tahoe. Getting old, but still going strong! Love that car, try to keep it clean and running in top condition. Nothing fancy on it, just a bullbar on it with two extra headlight spolights mounted on it.

*After a short drive through light traffic I arrive at my home and park by the curb outside. I get out, lock my car and enter my apartment's building through the front door. After riding the elevator up to the second floor I walk to my door, unlock it and get in. I put my shoes and jacket in their respective spots in the entryway, then walk into the kitchen and get some leftovers from last dinner and a brew. I sit down in front of the TV, switch it on with the remote, and put on HBO to see what's on...*

*I get home after a long shift, and park outside my apartment. I walk inside after locking the car, take the elevator up to my floor, unlock my apartment door and hang my coat on the hanger in the entryway etc.
I then walk straight to the bathroom and quickly wash up, followed by grabbing a glass of water in the kitchen which I drink down in a few gulps before heading straight to bed. I fall asleep almost as soon as my head hits the pillow.*

*I wake up after a good night sleep, yawning and stretching. I get out of bed and then tidy it up, before hitting the shower. After a good shower and shave I make myself breakfeast: baloney and cheese sandwhiches. Mmmm-mm! I put on some coffee and switch on my computer to read the news before I go to work. When the coffee is ready, I sit down by the computer and browse around different websites while eating. After about 15 minutes I'm all done, and put my mug and dish in the dishwasher, then walk to the bathroom and brush my teeth.
I turn of my computer and the lights, make sure everything is in order, and put on my shoes and jacket before leaving the apartment. I ride the elevator down and walk out to my car. Quite cold outside today, forgot to check the thermometer before leaving but I can feel it's well on the freezing side...
I unlock my Tahoe and climb in, then fire it up. It runs as good as always, thanks to good maintenance and regular service. I switch tracks on my CD player until I stumble upon a song I haven't heard in a while, then put the gear in drive and pull away from the curb heading for the ERT HQ...*

*I arrive at home, and get inside. I pack some clothing and my toiletry in a duffel bag, making sure I got all I need for a weeks stay at a friends place in another city. I pick up my phone and call for a cab; it arrives after about ten minutes. I make sure all appliances are switched off and that everything is in order, then turn off the lights, lock the doors and head down to the cab.
I get in, and tell him to go to the airport.*

*I arrive at home with a cab from the airport after returning from my trip. I go upstairs to my apartment, let myself in and quickly unpack my stuff, before having some food.

After eating some chicken and rice and watching some series on TV I head off to bed. Time to get back to job in the morning!*

*I unlock the door and enter my apartment after quite the day at job, with the bomb call.
No negotiating today, but still made myself useful I guess.
I grab some food really quick, just some hot pockets nuked in the microwave. After eating, I watch some car restauration show on Discovery Channel, but start dozing of about halfway through... I decide to head to bed, and fall asleep pretty fast.*

*Despite getting the notice of the quarterly forum, I decide to abstain from it and read the summary which will be published later. Instead I decide to use the day off to get some tasks done in my home, cleaning etc.
After all that is out of the way, I cook myself a couple of pork chops for dinner and eat in front of the TV, watching Generation Kill on Blu-ray. Delicious!*
