The View Restaurant

*I pull my car up in its spot to see Cheryl's Impala in one of the spots. I get out, check in and eat with her for a while. I long time spanning for 45 minutes which actually turns out to be her luch break and our first date. She kisses me on the cheek, hugs me, and I do her the same and we part seperate ways. I get into my car and she, hers and we head the same way back to the complex.*

*I pull into a parking spot and as I get out I notice a couple State Cars in the parking lot*

*I walk in and they invite me over, after ordering a double cheeseburger, fries, and a coke I wait for it*

'So guys hows the highway been?'

*I say with a smile*

'Oh you know slow.'

*After a few more minutes my order comes and I just inhale my food*

'Well guys I better get back out there, yall be safe'

'We will, you stay safe.'

'Oh, I will. We have our own offical building catcher at ERT'

*I then walk up bay my bill and get back in my unit and start patroling.*

*we pull up and I open Sarah's door and we go inside*
'Hi, I am here for the table of two. The name is Botfish'
Waiter: Ok, follow me
*We follow the waiter and sit down*
Waiter: what would you lke to drink
'I'll have just a water. What would you like Sarah?'

"Same, thanks."

*The waiter walks off.*

"So what about you? Whats your background with the ERT?"

(get it bot taking after me)

'My background... Well, I just recently had a brace taken off after falling 5 storys at a structure fire. But my background i have been on ERT for almost 1 year and have been on Squad-1 and SEV-2 before they left. And I have an EMT and HRES certs. what's going on in your life?'

"Not much, I moved from PATS, (Phoxlind Area Transport Security incase you didn't know) after being there 4 years. Apart from that life hasn't been very busy. My brother did join the Marines but thats it. So tell me more about you, your interests, sports you play, I don't know. Anything."

I pull my Mondeo into the parking lot and lower my window as the guy tries to get me to pay for a ticket.
'I know the boss okay, I'm popping in to see him, ok?' I say, the guy mutters as he heads off, and I park the car and grab a shoulder bag as I head into the building.

I head into the elevator and quickly reach the floor with the restaurant on, and as I enter, I see two people from the ERT and my good friend, Mr Stevenson, the boss.
'Hey Si!' I shout over as I walk round a few tables.
'What's up Char.' He smiles and shakes my hand.
'Nothing much, just off duty.' He nods his head and leads me to the bar.
'Good, what you drinkin'?' He says in his slight Italian accent.
'Just a Diet Coke now.' I smile, he shakes his head.
'Never a real drinker. Diet Coke and a Budweiser my friend.' He says to the barman who hurries to get it as we take a seat.
'So, how's business?' I asked, he chuckled and swept his hand around, emphasising how busy the place was getting.
'Need I say more?' He said sarcastically.
'Great.' I say, taking a sip of my diet coke, as he drinks a large part of his beer. 'Well, just give me a sec, seen some people from work, might go and say hi.' I smile but don't actually do anything.
'Have some fun man.' He chuckles again and drinks even more beer.
'Yeah, might as well watch them.' I laugh and sit back, drinking a bit more of my coke.

(Oh by the way, updated first post, so now you have cooler idea.)

*The waiter comes back with our drinks*
Waiter: Are you ready to order?
'Uhh, give us a sec I haven't even looked at the menu haha!'
'I like alot of things m favorite color is forest green.'
*I pick up my menu*
'What would you like? Nothing to expensive since i'm paying. Just kidding! Oh by the way i'm funny and a joker!'

I decide to go over and see the ERT guys, Austin and some new girl.
'Hey Si, be back in a minute.' He nods and downs more of his Bud as I slip off my chair and jog over to the two ERT members. I stop and adjust my cap subconsciously as I approach the table, walking now.
'Hey there, ERT aren't you? Austin and are you the new girl, Sarah?' I ask, having heard of her arrival. 'Charlie Jackson.' I say, introducing myself.

'Hey Jackson! Hows the police force?'
*I say picking out the chicken strips on the menu*

'Good actually, just came down here to see my friend. How's life with fire?' I smile and offer myself a seat, peeking at the menu, and spotting my favourite steak. 'If you're eating, try the Fillet Steak, it's damn good.' I smile as I remember the last one I had.

'The FD is a bit slow actually, And I just might try the steak'

"Yeah I'm Sarah, nice to meet you Jackson"

*I say as I turn to face him.*

"And I might try the Fillet Stake. I've always been one for meat."

'Same'
Waiter: Are you two ready to order yet?
'Yeah we will both take the fillet steak'
*The waiter walks away and prepares our order*
'How about desert after dinner if your not full?'

"I wouldn't mind a slice of cheesecake for dessert. If I'm still hungry."

'Sounds good to me'
*The waiter comes back with our food so I take a slice of steak and eat it*
'MMMMMM... this is, Awesome!'

*I take a sip of my water and then start to eat my steak.*

"Yeah, this is good."

*I take a few more mouthfulls, and then another sip.*

*I take a bite*
'This is my first date ever. So, ummm... what do we talk about? haha?'
*I take a couple more bites
'Do you wanna get cheesecake here? or go somewhere else?'

"Here'll be fine."

*I take a few more mouthfulls and I finish my drink.*

*the waiter comes back with the bill*
waiter: Any desert tonight?
'Yes, she will have one chocolate chip cheesecake'
*I finish my steak*
*The waiter comes back with the cheescake and two forks*
'Woah! Are you sure your gonna eat that all?'
*I steal a bite. Then pay the bill andwait for Sarah to finish all her food and cheesecake*

I smile over as Botfish pays the bill and I shake my head, downing my coke.
'They probably could've got that for free, eh?' I chuckle as Simon waves a finger at me.
'Probably, if they'd given me reason to.' He laughs, slurring his words slightly.
'And you're the reason I don't drink.' He smiled and looked up, humming. I laugh and he joins in.
'Well Jacko, best be off, got a day negotiating deals tomorrow.' He smiled and I shook his hand.
'See you soon Si.' He nodded and grabbed a coat and fedora and headed to the elevator. 'Hey, Dave.' The barman looked over to me and stared. 'Small Glass of white wine?' He smiled and quickly poured one, handing me the wineglass. I nodded in appreciation, and started to slowly drink, reminding myself of a good joke. I quickly finish the glass, and head out to my Mondeo, stick it into gear, and head off to my house.

*I finish off my stake, and then start eating the Cheesecake. Within a few minutes a finish it.*

"So. Time to go?"

'I guess, are you ready?'

"Yeah."

*I pick up my hand bag and I walk out. Austin follows me.*

*We get in my car and I take her to her house*

'Here we are.'
*I say as we pull into the parking lot.*
'Well, aren't you ready to go in?'
Yea.
*She stares at me.*
'W...what's wrong?'
*She then gets teary eyed and hugs me, shakes her head and then finally tells me.*
I..I can't see you anymore...
*I get a puzzled, and very surprising, look on my face. I open my nouth but I can't find words to say.*
'Why not?'
I..don't know.
*I could feel that she's lying to my face so I ask her again in a calmer voice.*
'Why not Cheryl?'
I'm seeing someone else.
'Ok..who?'
*My mind and thoughts swirl into one with the thought I should beat the crap outta the guy she's now dating.*
'Who is it?'
*I say again. She shakes her head no once again.*
I can't tell you!!
*She screams at me which pretty much shatters my eardrums even though the pain I feel emotionally is even worse.*
'Does he work at the hospital Cheryl?'
....
*Silence. I sigh and put the car in drive.*
No, I'll take a cab.
'I could drive you back.'
I said!!!.....just stay here. I'll take the cab
*She gets out and hails a cab. I then follow the cab back to the ER to make sure she gets there safely and head back to the station in fury and utter confusion.*

**After picking up Sharon, I drive to the restaurant and pull into a parking space. Sharon and I get out and go into the restaurant. The host is standing behind the podium.**

Host: 'Reservation?'
Me: 'Yes, a table for two under "Bucello"'
Host: 'I have you penciled in. Just follow me.' *looking at Sharon* 'Nice to see you here again, Sharon.'

**The host takes two menus and brings us to a table overlooking the city skyline. We sit down.**

Sharon: 'I saw you at the press conference; you're so professional after something so stressful.'
Me: 'It's easy to get stressed, but usually the rush wears off before you go in front of the cameras.'
Sharon: 'I don't know if I could do that, get in front of all of those reporters, defending...violence, really.'
Me: 'The public wants to know, and I'm the one who has to tell them.'

**The waiter arrives to take our order. I have ravioli, while Sharon orders a steak.**

**Our food arrives, and I begin eating.**

Me: 'Sharon, you said you had a new job?'
Sharon: 'Yes! I got employed with a commercial design firm. It's kind of an odd mix of interior designers, architects, engineers and artists. Basically, we design business space Our contract right now is to redo the burned-out parts of the stock exchange.'

**My phone goes off; I answer it. It's a call to return to base.**

Me: 'I have to go; you know how work can be.'
Sharon: 'Aw, but I wanted to spend more time with you...'

**I kiss Sharon goodbye before walking to my car and driving away. Before I drive, I send an apologetic text message and offer to make it up to her.**

*I park my car in one of the spots out front and walk in*

*A couple PPD officers pull in and we all walk in together*

'How many?'

'Three'

*We are shown to a table and order*

*As we wait I hear Lidner's call for assistance*

'Well crap, I got to go'

*The waiter meets me and puts my food in a to go bag for me*

*I run back out to my car and pull out of the parking lot and start toward Lidner's location*

(Just got to point out guys, this isn't your fast food joint, I wouldn't come in here if you're on patrol, since usually your food will take a while, and it's not a doggy bag kind of place, you can order ahead then come in to collect from the loading bays, but not run out midway through meals. I'm on from my nan's so...)
