Doug & Kelly McGuire's House

13 5th Avenue. Corner of Fifth Avenue and Boader Road

First Floor
1.5 Story Brick home. Has one car garage, Kelly's challenger is parked in the garage, Doug's charger is parked in the short driveway. You walk in to the living room, which has a table, a couch, a sofa, a fireplace, a television, and Bullet's bed. In the far left corner is an archway. To the rear left isa guest bed room. To the Left is a bathroom with only a toilet and sink. To the forward left is a small office, to the forward right is the dining room, with the kitchen at the end of that, with the door to the basement and garage, and a door leading out to the deck. To the right are the stairs. And Obviously to the rear right is the living room.

Second Floor:
You are standing at the top of the stairs. To the left, is a small access door to get to attic utilities, pipes, storage, etc. To the right is a full bathroom, Forward is another guest bedroom, it is much smaller than the one on the first floor though. To the rear right is the master bedroom. It was bought empty, and was just recently completely furnished by Kelly and I.

Basement:
Partially finished basement. Has a washer and Dryer, as well as all the utilities, and then I have a pool table, bar, TV, Stereo, and 2 couches.

Kelly's Vehicle: Black Dodge Challenger:

(Yeah , you can throw parties, invite people over, have family drama here, and all that stuff. You can also meet with people in the Resturant area, or go to events, whatever you want. This is the offduty topic)

*I slip the key card into my door, it beeps, I take it out and open the door. I throw my car keys on the counter and walk to my closet to get out of work clothes and into something more comfortable. I fill a plastic Trulit Volunteer Fire Wetdown mug with water, put it on my coffee table. I open up the blinds, and walk out onto the balcony to listen and watch the small city for a few minutes. When it starts to get cold I return inside, lay down, and watch Ghost Adventures and Man Vs. Food on Travel Channel*

*As I walk into my place I open up my half&half and start drinking it. I look in my freezer for frozen meals. I decide to make some. I close it, and decide to just make some soup. I get a can of chicken noodle soup, cook it, and sit down on my couch to watch Man vs. Food.*

*After a few hours, I clean up my bowl, turn off my TV, then my phone rings, it is one of my friends from NJ.*

'Hey Kelly, what's up?'

'I'm at the airport right now. I'm coming out to the convention center for a week for some convention that I'm supposed to represent my company in.'

'Oh cool, need somewhere to stay?'

'No, I got a Marriott Downtown near the convention center, but I'm on the red-eye flight, I was wondering if you could pick me up around 5:30 tomorrow morning?'

'Yeah, sure. I'll be there.'

'Thanks.'

'No problem.'

*I hang up, thinking of how much I don't want to wake up early and drive to the airport, but I never turn down an offer to see an old friend. I set my phone alarm clock to 5:00am, then fall down on my bed and go to sleep.*

*I wake up at 5am, quickly shower and put on my uniform. I check the flight status real quick, it's 15 minutes out. I pick up my wallet and keys, and leave and go down to my car.*

*We pull into the underground lot. I get the pizza and wings out, pu it on the roof, then shut my door and lock the car. I open up my wallet get out my card key, and hand it to Kelly.*

'Here, I'll take the food. At the door to the stairs just slide that in to unlock it, then same for my apartment.'

'No problem.'

*We go up the stairs, and go to my apartment. Kelly puts the card key on the counter and walk to teh coffee table in front of the TV and put the food down, I look at my watch.*

'10 minutes until the puck drops.'

*I open the pizza box and the foam container with the wings. I go get some plates out of a cabinet and two glasses.*

'What do you want to drink. I have root beer, coke, snapple, orange soda, Arnold palmer, iced tea.'

'Give me some Arnold Palmer.'

*I get out the bottle of Arnold Palmer Half & Half, and pour us each a glass, I set them down on the table.*

'Dig in, I'll be right back.'

*I go into my closet, get out of my EMT pants and Job shirt, and throw on some jeans, a T-shirt, and a Devils Jersey, then walk back out.*

'Devils and Rangers tonight. Theses games never fail to entertain.'

*We eat, watch the games, Devils win 2-0. We go out and sit on the balcony, watching the city and sky at night.*

'Still loving the city scene? Haven't changed a bit.'

'Haha, I just love cities. How's NJ, and work and everything.'

'NJ is great. Work sucks. I'm glad your here. otherwise I would be doing boring stuff with the coworkers I hate.'

'Haha. Glad I could help.'

'So what exactly do you do? Your like a firefighter and EMT?'

'Firefighter and Paramedic. I ride on the fire department ambulance at ERT. We do medical responses, primary rehab at a fire scene, and also primary Rapid Intervention.'

'That's awesome. I could never do that stuff. It would sure beat where I work right now though. I should just stay here. Just quit over the phone, tell my roommate I'm not coming home, and just stay here.'

'That would be very cool if you lived out here. I bet you ERT has a job opening somewhere.'

'Yeah, but I just can't work with blood and injuries or fires.'

'You could probably do something at Headquarters. Be a dispatcher or something.'

*She looks up at the night sky for a minute*

'You think you could show me that place?'

'Sure. I doubt they would mind.'

hey Doug due to a typo your new nickname is spuds...ask kelly if she hasn't already told you

*I pull into the underground parking garage, take the elevator up, and walk into my room. I throw my keys, watch, and wristband onto the counter, fill a mug with water, put it on the coffee table and turn on the TV. I go change out of the uniform int more comfortable clothing, and lay down on the couch while I watch TV.*

*I pull in, take the elevator upstairs, walk into my apartment, and go out to the balcony. I look up the road towards where all of the explosions and fires were.*

'Damn, didn't realize they were so close to my place.'

*I walk back in, go to my laptop, and go to the Devils website*

'Nice. Devils beat the Flyers 4-2, Elias got a hat trick.'

*I walk over to my couch and 'fall' down onto it and almost immediately fall asleep.*

*I wake up face down on my couch remembering that all units are off for 24 hours. I get up, shower, get dressed into jeans and a T-shirt, then go out to my computer. I look up weather, airport status, then call the Phoxlind FBO to reserve a Cessna 172R rental. I grab my keys and my flight bag, and head out to the airport*

*I park my car in the driveway in the front of the building, and go into my apartment.*

*I put my flight bag in the closet, and open my freezer*

'I need to go shopping one of these days.'

*I close the freezer and open the fridge, I see a leftover slice of pizza. I heat up my toaster oven to 350, put the pizza slice in, then eat it. I put the plate in the dishwasher, then walk into my closet. I change into my uniform, then walk back out, turn on the dishwasher, unplug my laptop, pick it up and walk out.*

*As I get down to my car, I open the driver door, put the laptop on the passenger seat, and drive to the fire station.*

*I park my car in the underground parking garage, and take the elevator upstairs. I walk into my apartment, throw my keys on the counter, and go into my closet to change into more comfortable clothing. I take piles of random clothing, stuff them into a suitcase, then go into my bathroom, and fill a bag with FAA approved sized toiletries, then close up my bag and roll it out by my door.*

*I go online to the airline website, and print out my boarding pass, then call the main desk of my building.*

'Hi, I'm Doug McGuire from room 2104, you have a taxi service here, right?'

'Yes, there is a car service.'

'Alright great, need a car tomorrow, to bring me to the airport for a 8:30pm flight.'

'Alright no problem, We'll send a car for you at 6:30? I just need the airline and number of people.'

'Sounds great, it's for one person, and I'm taking Continental.'

'Alright, I will have a driver meet you at your door at 6:25. We will charge the car to your account'

'Great, thanks.'

*I hang up my phone and walk out onto my balcony as a think about how much I enjoy the perks of living in a building geared toward business people. I walk back into my apartment, and watch TV*

*After waking up, showering, finish packing, and watching TV for the day, a put my laptop and it's charging wire in the in a backpack with some other carry on stuff, I zip it up as somebody knocks on my door. I answer*

'Hi, Mr. McGuire, your car is ready. Can I help you carry any of your luggage?'

'Great, no thanks, I got it.'

*I get my wallet, rolling bag, and backpack, and follow the driver out. I stop the rolling bag next to the trunk of the car. The driver puts it in and offer to take my backpack, I refuse, I'll keep it with me. I step in the car, and shut my door, then the driver gets up front.*

'Your going to the airport right? What airline.?'

'Continental please.'

'No problem.'

*The car pulls onto the road. The driver picks up a phone with a PTT feature and holds it up to his mouth.*

'Car 3 to base, I'm 10-8 to the airport.'

'10-4 car 3.'

*I watch the scenery as we drive through the city. I watch a plane as it's one final approach into the airport, I think to myself about how I always get a kick out of drivers using police codes, but hey, I guess they need some way to communicate.*

*I drive home with in my New Dodge Charger I got from a dealership outside of the Phoxlind/Trulit area. I pull into the lot and go up to my apartment. I leave the keys to the Challenger for Kelly (as far as I know she doesn't have a car on here lol). I go inside and watch TV for a bit until Kelly gets home*

*I walk into the apartment

'Hey Doug. You read to go?'

*He gets up, and we go out to his new car

*I pull into the lot, I get the bet carrier, bed, and food, and carry it up the stairs, while Kelly takes the other bags. I put everything down in front of the door, open it up, push everything in, hold it for Kelly. Once she is in, I shut the door, and open the pat carrier door, (dogs name) immediately runs out, runs around the place, sniffing it, and exploring it It jumps on to, and jumps between furniture, Kelly puts down the bed, and it runs over to the bed and lays on its back, squirming around trying to itch it's back. I take a cell phone picture, and send it to people.*

*I walk in, put the food on the table, open the pizza box and the wings, get some plates, napkins, cups, and a bottle of Coke. I let the dog (which is still nameless) out of the pet carrier, and let it run around the apartment while we eat, and watch The Hangover on TV*

(((Just FYI we have "agreed" on the name "Bullet" for the dog. I wanted Blaze, Kelly wanted Kesha. So I named it bullet. BTW when I say "agreed", it means that I named it what I wanted because I control this topic lol)))

*I pull in to the parking garage, and walk upstairs. I walk into the room, and let Bullet out of his crate. He runs around for a little bit, then I put him on his leash and walk him outside to let him do his business.*

*I bring Bullet back inside, and I change out of my uniform, and sit on the couch to watching the Bruins-Lightning game. After minutes of non stop sprinting around the room, Bullet finally settles down and sits next to me on the couch.*

*After falling asleep on the couch after the Bruins game, I wake up in the morning. I get up, take a shower, and change into my uniform. I feed bullet, then lead him into his crate with a toy. I pick up my keys, wallet, put on my wristband & watch, then head out. I go down to the parking garage, and pull out*

*After a night in the new house (See first post), I wake up. I take my ERT uniform out of a suitcase and and take a shower. After my shower, I walk downstairs where Kelly is watching TV with Bullet*

'Want some breakfast?'

'Yeah, I'll go shower.'

*As Kelly walks upstairs, I walk into the kitchen, and I get out 2 rolls, a pack of Taylor Ham, some Cheese, Eggs, and ketchup. I cook up 2 Taylor Ham, Egg, and Cheese sandwiches with salt, pepper, and ketchup, and I bring them out to the table just as Kelly walks downstairs. We finish eating, I clean the plates, then walk out to my Charger, back out into the road and drive to the complex*

*I come to a stop in front of the house, shut off the ambulance and walk in. I take a leash off of a table next to the front door, go over to the dog cage, clip the leash to his collar and walk him around outside. He does his business, so I bring him back in*

*I take off the leash, go into the kitchen and get some Milkbone treats, make the dog sit in an attempt to train him, then lead him back to his cage with a toy*

*I walk to the fridge, grab two Raspberry Snapples, then go out, locking the front door then walk to the ambulance. I hand Kelly a snapple through her open window*

'Here you go'

*I walk over to the drivers side, step in, put my snapple in a cup holder, start up the ambulance, turn on the radio, and pull out to drive around*

*I pull into the short driveway, and we get out and walk inside. We both go upstairs to get changed, once I'm changed out of the uniform and into regular clothes, I go downstairs and let bullet out of his crate, then I sit down and turn on the TV. He runs a few laps around the house before jumping up onto the couch and licking my face*. After Kelly comes down, I ask*

'Anything particular in mind for dinner?'

*After getting home and sleeping for a while, I wake up. I shower and change into my uniform.*

*I yell to Kelly who is upstairs, and should almost be ready by now*

'I'm heading out to my car!'

*I walk to the table by the front door. I put my scissors in the pocket & strap of my pants, then stick a pen in next to it, put on my watch and wristband, grab my keys and wallet, then walk outside.*

*A few minutes later, Kelly gets in the car, and we drive to ERT*
