I pulled my POV into the driveway, shifting the car's manual gearbox into neutral and then braking, before applying the handbrake. I stopped the car and took out the ignition key as well as my ERT radio and clipped that on my belt. I limped around to the back of my car and opened the rear tailgate, pulling out my kit-bag. I slung it over my shoulder and then slammed the tailgate down. I walked, aching, to the front door, opening it with a my key and then dropped my bag on the floor. I put the Radio on the side and then walked into my living room, laying down on the sofa and starting to ache again from where I'd been attacked. I turned on the TV, flicked to the news and then headed to the kitchen, to get an icebag to put on the largest bruise on my back.

I pull up to Jacksons house in my POV and walk up to the door. I ring the door bell and wait for him to come to the door.

I sit up bleary-eyed, woken by the door-bell. The news continues on about a dog who can fly, or something, but I ignore it and walk out of the living room to the front door. I peer through the glass and see Linda, then take off the chain and let him in. 'Hey, what's brought you here?' I ask, gesturing for him to come in.

'Alright, yeah, it's OK, not the greatest but lucky you turned up as early as you did, otherwise I'd probably be in the hospital.' I chuckled at the vision of me held in a hospital ward, and then turned back to Linda. 'Well, I'll see you around, probably soon, don't like injuries, always stop me doing stuff.'

I climbed out of bed, looking over at the alarm clock, I decided now would be a decent time to get back to work. Jessica was obviously working a night-shift again, or so she said, but I put those thoughts out of my mind and got into my work clothes, wandering down to the Kitchen, I grabbed my phone and the ERT phone off the side and then stuck a few pieces of bread into the toaster. As I waited for them to toast, I checked out my front window and then opened up my cupboard and grabbed my PD Jacket and a ERT Hi-Vis Traffic Vest. As I put the traffic vest into my kitbag, the toast sprung up, and I quickly covered it with a bit of butter, stuck it on a plate, and then started to walk out to my POV. I opened the passenger door and put in the plate of toast, and then opened the tailgate to put in my kitbag. I checked that there was the spare tire inside, and the motorist first-aid kit and then slammed it down, and opened the driver's side door, I didn't climb in, but checked the front door was locked, then turned back to the car and entered.

I stuck the car into Reverse, and edged out of the drive backwards, when I nearly reached the opposite kerb, I pushed down on the brake, then on the clutch and switched to first gear, driving forward and then changing gear as I started to head back to the ERT Complex after my day off with injury.
