*I walk around using my flashlight to search for dropped items. Over by a patch of grass I find an opened folding knife. I use an inside-out plastic evidence bag to pick it up and take a note of where I found it. I continue walking and searching, flashlight in one hand, evidence bag in th other*

OSC Libor, did we find the vic that was assumed dead by his girlfriend, or is he still missing?

"COPA, when we observed the scene, there were seven people incapacitated on the ground. One of them appears to be dead. We don't know if that's the person in question, and we don't see the 911 caller anywhere."

The 911 trace leads to the south most region in the area. That's where the clearing ends and the trees begin, jsut check around there, and check with all females in custody to see if anyone of them called 911.

Will do, nobody was fatal yet. One life threatening. I'll head over there now.

**I walk over to the treeline with my flashlight and I see a girl curled up behind a tree, crying.**

"Excuse me, I'm with the ERT Police. You'll need to step over here."

**She gets up and follows me out of the trees.**

Me: "Are you hurt?"

Her: "No..."

Me: "What happened?"

Her: "I don't know. My boyfriend just said that they were going to 'destroy' Anderson High, and that I should go with him and watch. Well, there was a huge fight, and he got hit over the head with a piece of wood and didn't get up."

Me: "Did you call 911?"

Her: "Yeah..."

**I walk her over to the badly injured person who Libor is near.**

Me: "Is that him?"

Her: "It is." **Crying**

"COPA, I've located the caller, but she seems distressed. She identified the critical patient as her boyfriend. Should she be arrested?"

Yes, detain her and bring her to the holding area. All people must be arrested to be questioned afterwards. Just like an underaged drinking party, we arrest everyone

"Understood."

**I go back over to her.**

Me: "I know you're upset, but paramedics are going to look after your boyfreind, ok?"

Her: "Ok..."

Me: "I need to place you under arrest, though."

Her: "No!"

**She tries to run; I grab her arm and pull her back.**

Me: "Don't run from me! We have to arrest everyone here, and if you run, you're only making it worse for yourself! Now, turn around and put your hands behind your back."

**She does. I handcuff her.**

"COPA, there's one more in custody."

libor to all pd units, all suspects are secure and transported, other than injured ones. Let me know if you find anyhing else.

"Alright, Libor. Did you take care of the additional person I arrested?"

I turn on my flashlight and overwatch the transport of the suspects.

10-4, sent to the holding area. Info taken.

*I bring the contraband I found on the ground over to the rest of the officers by the holding area*

"Got a knife, nothing else. It's a big place, so we might have missed something, but..."

"We did well. We probably have enough evidence to prosecute about a third of these people, and that's without the toxicology results." (i.e. sobriety/drug tests)

"How many more injured are left for the EMS guys?"

Most are gone, 2 more. You guys just want to drive them when you clear? We got enough evidence, just wanted to get the big stuff.

I see the ambulance come back run to where the crictical victim (the boyfriend) and begin CPR and start an EKG. "Let's scoop and run for this one" I get the vic on the back board and get him on the stercher. I run him to the ambulance and hit the siren to the hospital.

PD be advised, I have the ERT Auxiliary that will run over the scene tomorrow and collect any and all evidence you guys missed in the dark. Just tape it off and they'll be in at around 9am tomorrow. One or two cars just go with with transports to ensure they arrive safely. TEC is en route to tow cars

"Understood."

**I go over to the RRT Truck and get out some crime scene tape to close off the far side of the service road. I also put out a few flares. On the near side, I set out traffic cones so that the TEC crew can move through and remove the cars. I put flares and some crime scene tape there as well.**

"Should RRT follow the transports, or should a patrol unit run escort instead?"

I arrive at the hospital run into the ER Quickly hand the report to the nurse and don't stop CPR untill a truama team arrives in the room. When the truama team arrives I restock and clean the ambulaance and go back to the operations area code 3.

"BLS-1 to PD, how many victims do we have left, I'm responding to your location now from the EMS staging area."

"I put it in drive, and drive down the access road*

I arrive at the operational area go to a victim put a c-collar on him and begin treatment.

Whoever goes with the transports check with the OSC first, it's his job to divvy that up. As for those in cruisers, or those waiting to be put in a vehicle, do a double check to make sure they won't be needing medical treatment, if they've got a headache, it could be a concusion and just a tough guy act. If they say they're fine and we find out they weren't after, then we can't get in trouble with the legal side of things.

Gotta be careful with that kinda stuff, it's mostly minors here anyways.

Remember, no cars are allowed to be entered unless you can see something illegal inside. We have to wait until they are impounded to search them.

I sit back in my comfy new chair, lower my headset to my shoulders so I can just hear the radio chatter, and bring up my email client, letting the two principals know about this event and requesting a meeting on sunday afternoon before school on monday

"I'll go with the transports. All vehicles containing detainees, follow me to the main road with your emergency lights on. I will have lights and sirens to clear traffic; we have kind of a large convoy here."

**I get into the RRT Truck and turn on my lights and sirens. I start the truck and drive to the main road, checking my rear view mirror to be sure that the transports are following me. As I drive, I think to myself what DC is going to say to the principals of the two schools, and whether or not one of the officers will have to talk to the students. Probably...**

"When we get back to ERT Headquarters, we'll do a quick check of the detainees for injuries and notify EMS if there is anyone hurt. If anyone gets hurt on the drive to HQ, we'll pull over and radio for an ambulance."

*I take a look at the message on the EAT*

"Not a factor." I say to myself

*I pull up, shut off the lightbar, but leave side and rear lights on. I step out*

"Putter, grab clipboard, you will be recording vitals and any other information I tell you. Cole, grab the stretcher, since you are new you will work with me getting vitals and providing treatment. You two will alternate these jobs on each call."

*I walk around a get the jump bag out* There is a male in the doorway of a store laying down face up, hands on his head*

"PD Standby with your convoy. Got one victim laying down in a store doorway, if it's possible have an extra officer come down with us."

"Message recieved, McGuire. Send more information if possible."

**I turn off my lights and turn on my hazard lights; that's the signal for the convoy to stop. We pull over.**

((What store? Aren't we near the airport?))

pc-6 to convoy, keep moving. bls 1, where are you?

"Roger, Libor, continuing ahead."

**I turn the hazard lights off and the emergency lights and sirens on. I move ahead with the convoy.**

" I kneel down next to him, he's red, not sweaty and breathing heavy*

"What's up man, what's the problem."

"I don't know, nothing."

"Well then why are you laying here. Kinda of an odd place wouldn't you think?"

"When the cops were coming through I came here."

"I ain't telling you that. Your badge means nothing."

Alright then. I'll be right back.

"McGuire to Libor, breathing heavy,and looks warm, he's red but not sweaty. Possibly just dehydration. He's being uncooperative though, having trouble getting information out of him. Unknown at this time if he was involved with the riots. Check your mirror, we're not to far from the convoy, we are to the right and a little bit ahead of BLS-1."

"The other patrol officers are available; I'm leading the convoy into HQ right now."

**I lead the transports into the complex, coming to a stop in front of Alpha Base. I help the transport drivers offload the detainees.**

"RRT and convoy at base. We will conduct a preliminary inspection for injuries."

Any available patrol please head to bls location.

*After a quick look around of the scene I secure it until tomorow.* pc 6 clear on scene with bls 1

"RRT to COPA, all detainees cleared for injuries except one. He complained about a headache. Should I drop him off at the ERT hospital? Also, the detainees are going to toxicology for drug and alcohol testing."

*I get in my car after finishing putting up some barrier tape. I grab the radio mic*

"PC-6 this is PC-7, I'm heading over to you now, was busy putting up the barriers. Do we have BLS-1's guy contained?, over?"

*I put the car in gear and drive towards Libor following the map on the EAT terminal*

"I repeat, I have a detainee complaining of head injury. Should I drop him off at the ERT hospital?"

((I shouldn't have to ask twice with a possibly injured person.))

(ask him if he wants medical treatment.)

"From what I remember, COPA said that all minors with injuries need to be observed by a doctor. My question is whether I should drop him off or an ambulance should."

Drop him off at my rig. I'll examine him

"Roger."

**I put him in the backseat of the RRT Truck with handcuffs and begin driving to Ridgeback's location.**

I see the RRV pull up and get the truama bag out.

**I open the back door and let out the detainee.**

"I'll follow you if transport is needed."

I look at the victim do a check on vitals and everything is normal.I look at the rest of the victims and except for a high heart rate everything looks good.
"Keep an eye on his nuerological status but otherwise he's fine."

"Understood, I'll bring him back to Alpha Base."

**I put the detainee back in the truck and return to the station.**

"Good"
"DC Can I leave the scene yet"

"COPA, all detainees have been processed, awaiting toxicology results. RRT standing by available for callout."

ALS 1 you are cleared to return to station.

"Thank you Libor"
I turn off the lights and go back to base
