I am applying for the firefighter ( or firefighter SAR position if I can recieve the training) for sev 1. If this position is already filled, my second application is for the firefighter spot on sev 2.

If i get my HRES cert do I need a SAR cert? cause I'll take a SAR class for that position if it's that different from HRES....I use to do SAR but that was with a blood hound in the woods haha not USAR.

Firefighting SAR is just advanced from the basic stuff, in other words we train you so you can do it more specialized... If you're interested, PM me and I'll run you through the training. Then if you're interested, I've got a spot open on the SEV-1

So, is traffic in ERT sort of what we have in our city. Where their civilians who have a car with Amber lights to direct traffic?

No read the descrip haha they have stealth cars and a van and some other stuff the van will probably be amber only but i imagine the others are red and blue I could be wrong but my believe is they are full police officers but there in traffic police positions so if we got to a fire scene they would handle traffic while the police worried about people

Well, I was asking because, Hot Springs in their infinite wisdom have a few unmarked cars with amber lights they use also.

No, it'll be actual police officers just enforcing traffic laws more so than crimes. 90% of all crimes committed are traffic laws, speeding, illegal maneuvers, etc etc. This is esp true in Phoxlind Area. Traffic will enforce those laws, initially with a collisions investigator, and a commerical vehicles enforcement unit. Every spring, high traffic industrial roads have to be repaved because of industrial and commericals vehicle not up to par.

The CI has orange and red lights, the CE has red yellow and blue. The van will follow the RYB as well as most of the team. Traffic is just to handle car crimes, and road problems

Ok good. Well I should have said they have uniformed traffic and then civilian traffic officers. One of the civilians destroyed their brand new Crown Vic two years ago.

McEvoy tests, then alerts me of the test results, I have nothing to do with it. Training is his responsibility

Oh yeah, and what about HAZMAT? Who's incharge of that? That's just a cert, so I could do that too.

question are you every opening the agency back up? that was like way before my time so I'm not relaly sure what happened why it closed all that but with the surplus of police joining lately just wondering if that might re open

Agency is the fourth division of ERT. We closed it because we have 3 people working there and two police officers. Not near enough. Now once we get TAC and Traffic on their feet, we'll reopen it

burke can you tell me more about the Collision Investigator position?

From what I know about them from what he's said and what i've seen in the real world...i mean basically it's what it says you investigate crashes. in real life you see them a lot when a death occurs because they know a lot more about collisions then normal detectives they can say who was at fault....here i assume you'd just investigate some normal crashes for insurance purposes or like if pems wrecked and they wanted to find out what was at fault

I hate agency, (no offense). Right Now we only have a few active officers and most are trying to switch out to tac or traffic. So we need some more patrol guys.

yeah but it's also been the easiest to find more patrol officers hah the pd wing grows way faster then the rest

Yeah, I don't have the resources it seems everyone else has though:/ I don't know how to recruit people. I have gotten really good on GIMP with making graphics though. bbuuutttt anyway back on topic
I wonder if any SEVs will be unstaffed to restaff P-11
