Re: Any gearheads here?
Sure. I have a 95 Cobra with a 302 Block bored .040 over and dozens of other upgrades. I recently replaced my distributor with an MSD standard distributor to go with my 6AL ignitionI also compensated by replacing my fuel pump but after the exchange I had no spark so I checked with the #8 plug which are all NKG and I did have a spark. Frusterated I went back to the distributor and found the Rotor had the Metal piece missing so no contact was being made obviously to fire the Engine up. once that was replaced the engine fired like a champ but now after she warms up a bit i get a Ticking ( NOT A KNOCK ) but a ticking. When i ref up the ticking dissapears but when she goes back to idle it comes back and again only when it warms up. any suggestions ( Other than the usual dumb ass comments like ooooh buy a chevy or a dodge. I have both other brands too A ram and a Suburban but im serious. Any suggestions? )

Re: Any gearheads here?
Have you checked the oil level? The ticking could mean that your engine is lacking enough lubrication.

Austin: I doubt that but to be fair yes i checked it and its fine.
Libor: That is what im assuming but i nee to wait until dark to do that otherwise i cant see the spark and I dont have a 2nd person to use a voltmeter with. but im really hoping its not the wires. I did like i said unplug #8 and im hoping I didnt screw it up when i put it back. they are Ford racing brand wires and run around $350 I will be really pissed with myself if i screwed them up.
