No it shouldn't just don't plug it into a laptop or something.

Most phones have an automatic shut off for charging, so it wont overcharge the battery but it will still suck electrcity

I don't get it. Some phones battery life are drained when plugged in too long so but I don't know about yours. It should be fine.

Just expariment, it shouldn't kill the phone. OT: Damn when will the call be.

I plug in my phone every night all night, and it never dies ever
