At around 1800h today a fire alarm sounded on board the lucky princess as she was preparing to leave. Since then, approximately 50 firefighters have been on scene, however have been unable to access the boat after the first few minutes, when the only way on collapsed.. We were requested for rescue, as well as fire suppression, but mostly for the mayday of two pinned firefighters. See video for more. Port Authority should have a bridge established by the time that we rescue the downed firefighters. OSC will be Captain Raven. Depending on command needs, I may also respond in COPA M1

Weather: Thick Smoke has enveloped the area around the ship, visibility is poor.
Restrictions: 200 people or so, no one liners and don't rush this. You rush this I will kill you. Raven will open the OA topic. Follow his lead.

Out of breath from running back to the station, I get in my gear and jump in the truck. "Squad one responding."

*I run downstairs to the cab. I pull up my boots and get on my turnout coat. I throw my helmet on the dash and climb in. Then I turn on the truck and put on my headset.*

'This is gonna be a good one guys!'

"Squad 1 responding, Code 3."

*I wait for everyone to get inside and pull out onto the highway. I rev up the Q and blast the airhorns on the way to the scene.*

*I hear the alarm, throw the newspaper I was reading, lunge into my turnout gear, and jump on the truck.*
'Come on y'all!'

"Rescue 1 en route."

" COPA......Pump-11 responding. BREAK Pump-11 to Squad 1 OSC you guys are a LONG way ahead of us, what is the traffic like, is it still backed up and when we get there where do you need us to stage at?. "

"Squad 1 to Pumper 11, Ocean avenue has construction but one lane is finished said we could use it. When you get here connect to the squad we have hard suction. It's a mess down here."

" Pump-11 copies OSC we're 6 out still. "

*I hit the En Route button on the EAT. then grab the mic.*

"RA1 en route Code 3."

"RA1 to S1 do you want us for rescue or medical?"

"Squad one to RA one, City EMS is short staffed, start with triage, will advise further. Squad one out."

"RA1 is on scene at triage, FF/PM Hutchison in command of EMS, requesting ERT EMS, EDRC, and MCI bus be dispatched. PEMS will be handling Triage with assistance from RA1. We currently have 15 PEMS Medics on scene and 30 pt. in triage, with 200 MIA."
