Happy Barfday Lafferty!

Well according to the site it's Lafferty's birthday! Congrats, we wish you many more fine years.

Barfday? More like workday, all I wanted to do today was sleep. But, I had to work at my other job. It's been three weeks since i've had a day off. O well, i'm getting some money. But, thanks Raven.

Oh I will, after my shift 72 hour shift on the truck I will. Haha

It wasn't bad, I enjoyed it. Just a bunch of BS relating to a code. It happened in another ambulance services run, and they decided the "Couldn't" do it. So I was running about 95 miles an hour trying to get us there to meet the Sheriff's Department boat (It happened on the water). My medic said I did good for my first code. Considering it was only my sixth shift, and been working for them for 2 weeks. haha

My first code was about four months in, guy in a corn field, took us about 10 minutes to find him, then used a crop duster helicopter to evac him.

I tell you one thing, it got hot in the back of that truck the 20 mins we worked on him before I jumped up front and drove. And of course as I walked around the back people were standing there. I told them to back up and they just looked at me. So I got in flipped on the lights and started backing up. They got the message. We have a policy with my service, unless that have serious trauma or rigor we must work them till we get to the hospital. Worst part was having the wife in the front with me while I was trying to drive us to the hospital.

Lady: Can't yall call a helicopter?

Me: No, by the time it can get here we will be at St. Joseph's

Lady: Do I need to climb back there and help them?

Me: No, sit there and let them work.

Lady: Why aren't you going fast?

Me: I'm doing 80 that's already to fast with two guys standing in the back of my truck.

Me: Now just take a few deep breaths and let me drive.
