Re: Trail injury
*I walk out of the Break Room, get in BLS and call responding. I pull out the gate and stop. I see a woman wave and walk toward the ambulance. I unlock the doors, and move everything on the passenger seat into the center console.*
"Hi, Doug McGuire. What's the problem?" *I ask as I flip on the lights and drive down the Trulit Interpass*
"Hi, nice to meet you. My friend Jack and I were walking on a trail, and he tripped on a rock or some roots, I didn't actually see him trip, but his leg is really hurting and it's bent or twisted weirdly."
"Okay, and what trail was this?"
"I don't know, we were just walking back from lunch and decided to take a trip down there. Oh this one, right here!"
"In here?" I ask as I pull into the shoulder.
*The girl jumps out and runs about 60 yards up the trail, to here boyfriend laying up against a tree, with some bystanders trying to help him. I get a clipboard, backboard, and jump bag, put it on the stretcher, and walk with it up to the man, locking the ambulance as I walk.
"BLS to COPA, be advised, we're right by Plum way. About to make contact with the patient."

Re: Trail injury
Copy that BLS, advise if you'll be needing assistance from P-11 and if you are closer to Plum way or Trulit Interpass.

Re: Trail injury
"Looks like we'll be closer to Plum Way, no assistance needed at this time."
((Sorry for the direction confusion, read the call wrong))
"Hello sir. What's the problem here?"
"Well, I was walking here, and I wasn't really paying attention, and my foot got caught on a tree root, and I fell with my foot still caught in it."
"Okay, Are you feeling any pain in your neck or back?"
"Nah, it's just my right leg."
"Alright, scale of one to ten, how bad, and where is the pain?"
"I'd give it an eight, and it's right from about my knee, up to where my leg meets my torso, then down on my ankle. It feels the same as when I twisted my ankle a few years ago."
"Okay, are you able to stand up on your other leg."
"Oh, yeah."
"Okay, I'll help you up, then lay down on the stretcher. Grab onto my shoulder, Miss, if you wouldn't mind can you grab his hand and help him up."
*The girl grabs his hand*
"1, 2, 3." *We get him up, with my assistance he lays down on the stretcher.*
"Okay, I'm going to put a splint on your leg, which will immobilize your leg."
*Put the splint on, raise the stretcher, pick up the equipment, and walk to BLS-1. I put the stretcher and the rest of the equipment in the ambulance.*
*I quickly fill out the call sheet*
"BLS-1 to COPA, I'll be transporting one male to ERT Hospital. Friend will be onboard. Patients vitals are normal, showing signs of twisted ankle and dislocated leg. Patient reports a history of one prior ankle injury. ETA two minutes."

Re: Trail injury
"BLS-1 arriving at base."
*I pull into the driveway, shut off the lights, open the gate, and drive up to the hospital. I see a hospital crew hanging out outside, as I turn off the engine, the crew goes around back to retrieve the patient."
*I walk in, and handover information to hospital staff.*
"BLS-1 to COPA, patient is in hospital care, I will be notifying his emergency contact shortly. BLS-1 back in service."
