Office alarm fire

Station Alarm:
*Gong, Three yelps* "Ladder 1, Pumper 11respond to Midtown and Brigus in Trulit for an automatic alarm. ADT was advised all after hours alarms should be investigated. RA-1, and additional units on standby"

EAT
Light Force respond to Brigus and Midtown Roads in Trulit for an automatic alarm at a small store. Store sells munitions for hunting, as well as other supplies. Munitions are kept in a fireproof room, so if there is a fire, as long as no one opens up, they'll be safe in there. Other flammable hunting supplies are stored as well. Possible false alarm, TVFD unable to respond at this time.

Time: 1658h
Weather: Sunny, clear skies, 46F (8 C)
Concerns: IF this is a fire, there will be a lot of risk for quick burn, low chance of explosion, high of quick ignition if this is real.
Restrictions: If this turns out to be a fire, let this building light up only, if any others light up, I'm going to fire whoever lights them up. Also, only post the radio traffic pertanent in this topic, IE Pumper 11 responding. 1700 Edit: Pumper 11 on scene, 1705. As well as updates such as requests for units, units leaving scene, etc. All other traffic including getting in the rig and responding goes in OA

"Ladder 1 copies Pumper 11. Ladder 1 to COPA, I don't see any smoke from Fort Basio lane so far so it may not have spread enough to cause a fully involved store."

*I pull out my cell phone and get the EAT app up and type the report into hit.*

License Plate # XRY-865 Local Plate speed past us at approx 90mph on the interpass.

*I put my phone away and check my gear again*

"Ladder 1 on scene 1705. No smoke showing Standby for update."

*I open the squad door, reach for the radio, grab it, and talk.*
"Squad 1 copies, we're standing by at the station."
*I put the radio back and put my jacket on the seat, helmet on the dash, and boots at the steps of the driver's side door in case we need to respond.*

"Ladder 1 command to COPA, overhaul is completed at 1734. Take all units off of standby at this time. Can we clear?"

"Roger that Hannahan, I am off of standby"

"RA1 Copies, off standby."

COPA Review:
Call went way to fast. As a general rule, a false alarm should take 6-10 hours a small fire will take about 12-16 hours from arrival on scene, a medium fire, a day and a large fire a couple days. This call was over within 3 hours of units on scene... That's way to fast for a small fire. IF this was a false alarm, then that's okay, otherwise, too fast

(That's what I thought. From when I marked the ladder on scene, it was about 6 hours though wasn't it? Anyway, only Bruce was here from L1 and I so that didn't work in our favor very much either.)

*I hear the radio and get off the bumper, go inside the squad, and pick up the radio.*
"Squad 1 copies, we're available and off of standby."
*I put the radio back and leave the door open.*
