Animal control are pussies. What do they do when a coyote gets into a house? Do they see if the door is locked? No they send in a group of firefighters, stand back, and tell them to open the door.
Glad a certain sister was there by her car with her shotgun ready to not be a pussy.

Re: The I like game
lol, that's like whenever I see people walking around my neighborhood with clipboards going door to door, as teh enter my driveway, i open the door, point at the person and let me dogs run out at them. My dogs are completely harmless, they don't bite, they just bark and jump, but they would never hurt anybody, so they're good for getting people off my property lol

Studying to be one, yes Two years of college left. Taking a year of English then a year of science. I work in a children's psychiatric ward on the side. Might work there after collage as well. Don't know yet.Jack Anders wrote:Kaizer, you're a teacher?

Re: The I like game
Well I'm technically qualified to teach any subject up to the 7th grade. Beyond that it's: 1. If I've taken that course (1 year college course), or 2. The school needs someone to teach the subject but there aren't any qualified. After I'm done I'll be qualified to teach 8th-10th grade English and Science.Jack Anders wrote:Cool!, What subject will you teach?
I'd like to teach 8th-10th grade English, Science, Religion, Life stance and philosophy (a mandatory subject in Norwegian schools), and social science (in social science we have history and geography as well).
I also might take some special ed courses later. Or I might start working in at the children's and youths psychiatry department. It's a department at the hospital that deal with 0-18 year old kids with mental health problems. I currently work at the 0-13 year old long term ward, with a few shifts at the 0-13 diagnostic and emergency ward. It's a very rewarding job.
Or, I might get some experience in a regular school, then apply for a job at the "Møllehagen school centre". It's a special school that the state psych facilities send their kids to. It's an excellent school with a very dedicated and skilled staff. A lot of them split their time between teaching there, and working at the "Centre for Behavioural Science" at the local university. A couple of them have been down to hold lectures for us. Excellent teachers.

I wish American schools would require Philosophy, I am a Talented and Gifted student so I go have class with a TAG mentor. One of the books we read in 8th grade was Sophie's World. It was awesome. I loved all of the philosophy lessons throughout the book. I think philosophy is an important element in helping and expanding the way kids think, and not letting them fall in line to always do, and think what they are told.
I have a question about the psych wards, Do all kids with special needs go to these wards for an education? or just after a certin degree?

Re: The I like game
No, most kids with special needs are accommodated by their local schools. That's law. By law, all kids are supposed to be accommodated by their local school.Jack Anders wrote:I have a question about the psych wards, Do all kids with special needs go to these wards for an education? or just after a certin degree?
Only in very extreme cases are they sent to us, or the "Møllehagen school centre". Our ward covers the whole state. That's to say that we are the only ward for the whole state, and we can handle two 24 hour patients, and two day patients. And our state has a population of about 450.000. The emergency ward can handle three 24 hour patients and three day patients. The youth ward (13-18) has a lot more cases than we do, suicidal cases and eating disorders being the most prominent.
