TVFD Mutual Aid

*I put my radio to my mouth and check my mask to see my SCBA level.*
"Ladder 1 command to COPA, do you copy?"
*I then go over to the back of the ladder and change out my SCBA. I clip a new SCBA bottle on the pack and lift it over my shoulder and put it on. I go over to Austin's line and control it for a while. I sweep water side to side, the fire starts to extinguish on the grass and plantations so I focus my water on the woodshed fire.*
"Command to Botfish, I have your line."

(Nah, I don't know Riles Personally)

'Yeah, they're still on the line Burke, tell them to standby?'

* I check my air and see 4 minutes, time to change it. I shut down my nozzel and lay it down. I walk I walk towards the fire while taking my mask off. I swing my pack off and slide the empty tank off my pack. I grab a spare bottle and twist it into place an lock the valve. 'Command I am going to Rehab at RA-1, be back in a few'

"Hey guys whats up? Have ya been busy?"

(Then i suppose riles is a dispatcher now? unless he knows burke personally and he was on his computer but I dont think thats the case either)

'Hey Jack, how are you?'

*I take out a BP Cuff and stethoscope, and check his Vitals. They are good.*

'Having any breathing difficulty? If not then you can take a Gatorade or water and hang out and rest for a while. Head back out whenever you're ready.'

*I begin to fill out a chart for Anders*

"I'm a little woozy, I just think I am getting sick though, nothing serious. I will go to the doctor after we are done here."
I grab a Fruit Punch Gator-aid and can already feel myself breathing a little easier.

*I look up from writing the chart*

'You sure you're alright? You feeling weak it all? You wanna lay down on the stretcher?'

"yeah I'm fine." I say with a smile, "Actually this gator-aid helped alot, maybe I need to start drinking more fluids through the day" I say as I finnish my gator-aid an eye a bottle of water.

'Yeah, keep drinking if you haven't drank much today, have as much as you want, and stay here for as long as you want. Let me know if you start to feel any worse.'

* I continue to sweep left to right with a wide stream on my line at the Shed. I notice the fire is almost out on my side. *
' Ladder 1 Floan to ladder 1 Command The fire is all but out on my side, what's the next area you need want me at?. '

I grab a bottled water "I think I will stay in here for another 10 minutes just to be sure." I twist off the cap of the water and begin to drink it.

'Alright, let me know when you're ready to leave, I just want to check your vitals again and make sure they're still good.'

"Okay sounds good." I look at the shed fire and see everyone hitting the shed with their hoses, its almost to a smolder now. There is alot of white smoke that drifts in the wind as it rises.

Twas the case, I was on Rile's Laptop, which was in as him, and forgot to sign out. He was on, I thought I was on, and yeah, treat that from me.

"Scene crews, how we looking from there? I see a helluva lotta smoke there, which means either we're goin good, or we've got a BAD fire, which is it?"

"Squad 1 to COPA, the fire is mainly supressed, we're still working on the shed a little bit though. Everything's going well so far."
'Florian, I'm coming over there.'
*I quickly throw on my SCBA tank and mask, turn on the oxygen, and pull a line to the fire. I begin to supress.*

(I'm here)
"Ladder one command to COPA, cancel that Fort Basio minipumper's standby K? Uhhh, we should be starting overhaul in about 10 minutes if everything goes well copy?"
*I look around and go over to the ladder and grab some more shovels.*
"Mike, come off of the line and get a shovel and TIC. Bruce, you too. After the fire is put out, shovel through this stuff and check it."

*I continue to spray what's left of the fire with a fog on the nozzle.*

"Well Doug, I'm gonna head out and finish up. I will be back if I am having problems." 'Anders back from Rehab, I will be preping P-11 for overhaul.' I grab my helment from the bumper and make my way to the Pumper where I get down the rakes and shovels. I reach in the cab and grab a TIC and set it on the bumper of the Pumper.

*i back up and shut the line down, then i go grab a TIC and a shovle and start sifting through the debreas where teh fire is out*

Overthe fireground channel 'Be careful of any hidden accelerants that may be hot, lets get a TIC sweep quick' I pick up the Pumper's TIC and a pike pole and walk to the left side where the wall fell. I scan and see alot of white where the debris is still hot, "lets get a line over here to soak this area."

*After hearing the traffic regarding overhaul, I reach down and grab my radio.*
"RA1 to Command, you still need us or can we go ahead and request to clear?"
*I put my radio back on my hip and listen for Hannahan's reply.*

"Stay here RA. We'll need you for rehab for everyone else K? Command to personnel, report to rehab after overhaul."
*I grab a shovel also and start shoveling piles of things looking for smoking embers or anything that could cause teh place to spark up again.*

"RA1 copies."
*I grab my self a bottle of water and lay down on the bench, listening for anyone to make on the way to rehab.*

"Once we've got the fire knocked down, you're all clear to head back after checking with RA-1"
Turning to Kelly,
'So, think you've watched enough to do a big call yourself soon?'

"We'll take this by units. Pumper 11 crew that hasn't gone to rehab, go over then help with overhaul. Ladder 1, you're after Pumper 11 and Squad 1 crew, you're last. COPA, we're starting overhaul now."
*The fire goes out soon but smoke is still prevelant which means something somewhere is still burning. I keep moving things with my shovel and think of putting the fire out using the line up my sleeve. 'I'll experiment with that later.' I say to myself. I move things using the shovel but on the left side, find nothing.*
'Let's get the rear, front and right sides checked so we can go home.'

I grab my shovel and TIC and go into the building sifting through the embers and ash. I see a flair up that goes out easy with some shoveing. "Hey Hannahan so what did you think of this call?" I ask, "It was a cool expirance having a makeshift crew thrown on the pumper huh?" I keep sifting through the debris and scan it with the TIC, a lot more black then white now.

*I look over at Anders while moving and shoveling things around.*
'Yeah, it was pretty cool but those explosions really got to me. Reminded me of the boat fire but at least no one was hurt.'

*I stand next to RA-1*
'Hi guys i'm here for rehab!'

" Ladder 1 command i'll be heading over to rehab"
* i close down my line and leave it on the ground and walk over to RA1 and take my airpack and jacket and helmet down on the ground*

' hey guys, whats new?'

*I turn to Burke and take off my headset for a moment

'May need some help here and there, but I think I could.'

*I put my headset back on

*I put my shovel back on the truck, take off my SCBA tank, and set it in it's place and go over to the EAT and start typing the call report in.*
"Ladder 1 command to COPA, report will be sent via EAT. Standby."

Location: Trulit- Brigus road
Fire Units called: Pumper 11 (staffed by SEV-2 crew), Ladder 1, Squad 1, RA-1
Police Units called: N/A
EMS Units called: N/A
Info: ERTFD units were called after a mutual aid call by Trulit FD on Brigus road when Trulit FD required manpower. RA-1 set up rehab while all other units suppressed the fire in the shed and around it. Two explosions were heard but no injuries were sustained.

*I sign my name using the stylus on the side of the EAT. I clip it back in and press send on the EAT sending the info to COPA.*
"COPA, the report should be received by now. In about 10 more minutes, overhaul should be completed and we should be back in service K?"
*I talk to all of the crews.*
'Alright guys, lets finish this up. Use those shovels and TIC's.'

I move a pile of debris then take the TIC and do yet another sweep. I don't see anything glowing extreme white so I walk to the Pumper and put my shovel and TIC away.

*i finish sifting through my section of debreas and put my shovel back on the truck and put the TIC away.*
'Hannahan want me to break down the handlines?'

'Hey guys, come on in.'

*They step into the ambulance. Cory checks Botfish, I check Matthews. They are both in normal ranges*

'Alright, you guys are good. If you're not having any breathing difficulties you can grab a drink, rest, and go back out when you're ready.'

*I turn to Cory*
'I'll see how much longer we need to be here'

*I walk over to HANNAHAN*

'Hey John. You guys need the rescue anymore or are we good to go?'

'Let squad guys come to you then you can clear.'
(Godmod 'em and then you can clear)
"Pumper 11, after you finish up cleaning up you lines, you could clear. Squad 1, finish up with rehab and you can clear."
'Alright guys, unless you wanna be the last one outta here, let's put this stuff away.'
*I yell out so everyone could hear me then I go over to the TVFD and talk to them about clearing up.*
'You guys going now?'
*I say seeing that TVFD FF's are cleaning up, some already leaving at the moment.*
Yeah, just unhook your supply line and we can get outta here.
'Alright, good working with you.'
You too.
*I go over to the tanker, greet the FF's there, unhook the line and drag it to the ladder.*

((Does the Pump need a report?))
* I grab my line and start pulling it back to the wye. I unhook the line and move to the wye and bring that over to the truck, "Hey Tim, wanna help me get these crosslays back?" I say as I pull the second line in. I climb up on top the pumper and wait for help folding them up.

(No, T.O's write reports and only one report is made.)

*I turn off the pump, disconnect my line, drain it, and then fold it up. Then I put it into the hose bed and get into the officer's seat. I take off my jacket and helmet, put them on the seat, get back out, and close the door. Then I head over to RA-1.*
'Hey guys, I'm ready for a quick rehab check please.'

*i pack up my line and then climb in the truck and take a drink of gaterade*

*I walk over to the Pumper and start helping Anders Fold the lines*
'So, how was that for a call?'

"I thought it went well, bunny loop. I have a feeling we may end up on the Pumper until we get a few more Firefighters, bunny loop. What do you think of staffing the Pump?" I ask as I loop the hose and almost finish.

'I was actually thinking about it'
*I say as I rub my head and get all the ash off*

"Alright thats everything." I say as I climb down from the hose bed and sit in the oficer's seat. While everyone else gets in. "I figured I would let one of you drive" I say as I pick up the radio 'Pumper 11 clearing'

* I climb out of the ambulance*
' thanks guys'
* I help jack and austin re pack the crosslayes and climb back into the truck and take my scba off*

*We finish packing up and I sit in the truck waiting for Bruce.*
'Alright guys, let roll.'
"All units can clear. COPA, all units back in service."

*i put the truck in drive and head back to the station*

*I hop up front and grab the radio as doug climbs in the driver's seat.*
'RA1 Cleared, returning to quarters.'
*Doug starts to pull away from the scene and head back to the station.*
