Well my name is Dave, and if I am correct i'm going to be the the new probie riding BLS-1. And this is a really good looking site yall have here. (give me a break on some words i'm from Arkansas) lol.

Nice to meet you dave. I'm Chris, the HRES officer and one of the oldest members of the FD on here. Its a great site. You'll fit in just great. No need to worry about how you talk or type. You will be working side by side with the FD and PD a lot.

Arkansas? Sweet. I have friend that moved there recently for work. I've also always wanted to go down there. Mainly for food, haha. If you've ever seen that show "Man vs. Food", I want to go to the Mean Pig BBQ and try to Shutup Juice Challenge there. haha.

I'm Doug McGuire, on RA-1, the fire department ambulance. I used to be on BLS-1. In real life, I'm an EMT in training, and a firefighter training starts in a few months.

D.McGuire I actually finished my emt program here last spring, going to take my national here wednesday. And i'll tell you what i've been studying for it and i'm still nervous. lol

i take my state exam for maryland wednesday lol im nervous.

Nice to meet you Bruce, I wish thats all I had to do. Arkansas instead of using a state test, they use the NREMT to certify with. But on the flip side the Ambulance service I want to work with runs out of Texas and here in my area of Arkansas so I guess it makes sense.

I'm Cory, Im the senoir medic on the RA. We may be working together alot.

(IRL Im a FF/PM with a Volly department in KY, Finishing up my BS at EKU and Training Supervisor for a Private Ambluance Service.)

And good for you being a FF/PM very rewarding job. I would go onto Medic, but I am hoping to go work for the Arkansas State Police, and since I can't carry advanced equipment in my car i'll just stay a basic. lol

(if your interested in SWAT, or going Federal, they take medics over basics. I know someone at EKU who graduated last year, was picked up by the Marshals service within 2 weeks of graduating. He Was a dual major EMC and Police Studies.)

Well, what i'm thinking about doing. Is Mems EMS service in Little Rock, they have medics that are assigned to several swat teams. And there is one or two troopers that do that and I was thinking about doing that. My father is a Sergeant with the State Police and i'm planning on following in his foot steps. lol

Yea mate! Thats why I am kinda on at different times than you guys. Well, the weather, pretty wet, It was like I was living in a swimming pool... xD I was fine though, no-one in the family was hurt.

well no i'm always on at night here so thats day for you :p haha were usually on at the same time and movies made me fall in love with austrailian women haha i have a thing for the accents haha

Lucky, yall fire guys/gals get to eat fresh cooked meals. Us EMS guys either get to eat fast food/ or hospital food. And believe me I swear I saw something crawling in the wednesday tuna surprise. Talk about a surprise when your food gets up and walks off.
