I'm apologizing right now, because until changes are made, I will be very sarcastic and stuff in my posts until we get rules, regulations & protocol, because you can't have "emergency services" without a foundation on standard operating procedures. so we either have operating procedures/protocol, or we're free.

Yea, I agree. We need rules for treatment, tactics, and just about anything that should be known.

If we did everything we wanted too, there would be somewhat wrong and we wouldn't be organized. I don't even know half the things i'm supposed to.

Um, Technical Rescue Service. If you don't know about it, I suggest going to a place that has a good program to find out more about it, Williamsburg has a good one. Haven't met anyone from it but I've heard stories. Shocked

Yeah. We have a technical rescue squad. We call it the Heavy rescue squad though. It's at Station 1. I think it's a freightliner.

I could give everyone a mandatory 50 page book they all have to read, then make them pwrite a fifrty page exam that they needa a 90% on before they can go to work, but that'd do nothing, people would leave. This isn't mean to be complete strict, but it is meant to be fun. If you want rules of engagement, follow the NFPA rules. If you want an exam, I'll give you 12. If you want to run crazy, I'll remove you as truck officer. Real fast.

If you want to be a truck officer, your job isn't to go crazy and start a bitch fest, it's to maintain order, and make sure everyone is doing the right job, without having everyone read a manual and whatnot.

My two cents. Please inform me if you don't like my rules, what exactly you don't like, and I'll get right on that. Otherwise, I'll remove you as truck officer if you don't hold the position with the way it's supposed to be held.

The green one looks too much like a FedEx truck. I like the ones that look like heavy rescues. We just got a new quint here. (the one that inturrupted the funeral)
