Gas bar hit and run

I roll up and park the ladder, "Looks like the ice cream has to wait" I think. I grab an attack line off the rigg and pressurize it, then I get to work.

BLS-1 arriving on scene.

*I pull off the side of the road past the roadblock and across from the scene, shut off the lightbar, and turn on the floddlights. I go around to the back of the ambulance, I put a medical bag and oxygen tank on the stretcher, and take it out of the ambulance*

"Ladder one copies BLS-1, no victims accounted for." I say. The pressure in the line is low, as no hydrant has been tapped. I tap into one and man the pumps and start up a class B foam mixture.

BLS-1 receives, L-1. Keep me updated.

BLS, put on some steady burns and kill the floodlights now, waste of energy when not needed. Where's my pumper crew?

"Roger that L-1 out" I notice some people grouping up and realise they're stringers. I walk up to them, unmanning the pumps. "I need your names and I need you to back up." I say the guy with the camera gives me a buisness card and he leaves, I walk back to the truck and put the card in the glove box. Then I grap a hose and start dousing the fire with foam.

10-4, command.

*I activate the lock on the stretcher wheels and walk up to the cab, shut off floodlights, set the grill and side lights to a steady red burn*

((We may want to wait until about midnight, that's when most people are on.))

*hops out of the rig and start taking pics of the fire for investigation*

"What you want me to do Raven?"

"AG1 onscene"

*Jumps out and walks up to people watching the fire*

"Anyone see what happened here?"

-A man rasies his hand-

*I get the info from the man*

"Help me out bro, get a 1' and start spraying. on the other side"

((BTW whats a gas bar?))

"Copy"

*Goes over to the rig and hooks up the hose and start running it out to the fire and start spraying it down*

((Gas station, it's where the pumps are, I forgot myself.))

"Eric! I have some more information for you, I'll get it when this fire is out."

((Oh I was all wtf is that))

"L1 to COPA, We have good fire supression on the fire. Keep the Engine Company coming though."

"OK Ewan, meet me over at my truck once your done."

*walks over to truck and put info in computer and run out plates*

"SUP1 in the area of the Fire."

"We have the island completly doused in foam now, going in with extinguishers" I depresurize the pump and grab an extinguisher. "Hey Chris, if we have to stand by, we can totally have a foam fight."

*grabs extinguisher*

"Sure why not."

"While you do that I'm going to go give Eric the name of that stringer, he may have a lot more evidence." I say, and then i bend down and pick up the melted and charred remains of a security camera, then I open the truck door and get the buisness card of the stringer. And walk over to the Agent's car and tap on the wind screen.

"Yes? You got that info?"

"Yeah, stringer named Martin Yule, he's the guy in the glasses, black polo and jeans. Als there's this." I say and thunk down the remains of the camera. "You may want to check inside."

"Engine 11 on scene"

**On this call, Mitch drove, I jump out, go to the rear of the cab, grab my b.a bottle, throw it on, then clicks onto the radio**

"Engine 11 on scene, starting a reverse lay 4" from the hydrant."

**I go around the side to the appliance door, grab out a 4" increaser and decreaser. I then go to the back, put the appliances over the handle of the hydrant wrench (after pulling it off) grab a set of spanners, then set it all by the hydrant. I then go back to the rear of the engine, grab the 4", pull it 10', then wrap it around the hydrant. I then make sure all the kinks are out, then give the hand signal and shout "ENGINE 11, LAY LINE!"**

**After Mitch pulls the engine all the way up, then hits the air brake, I then connect up the 4" to the hydrant, I need to use a decreaser because the hydrant's a strange 4 1/2" male. Mitch then calls for water. I yell "WATER COMING!" crack open the hydrant, and it fills the line. Not too fast though, so we don't get a water hammer.**

"Engine 11 staged. (You guys, we don't have 1" hoses on a fire, unless it's mop up. Use a 1 1/2 or 1 3/4.) Beginning engine ops."

"McEvoy, what do you need us doing? I know your truck's gonna need a supply line here soon, considering your guys didn't connect up first >.<"

(Engine usually takes care of fire suppression btw. Truck is vent, rescue, and secondary for suppression usually...)

((Ummm, this is going to suck, but, the fire is pretty much out and it's not a structure fire, it's a pump island fire... so thanksfor the long post but it was in vain also we were using the one for containment not attack. Foam fight anyone? lol jk))

*walks inside and talk to store clerk*

"AG1 to COPA, the vehicle we are looking for is a late 80's buick 4dr dark in color. Unknown plate and a HMA or WMA driver."

((You guys moved too fast, oh, and you guys failed 99% of protocol right there. By the way, you would have run out of water, and the fire would have engulfed the entire station, and you guys all have smoke inhalation.))

"No problem" I say and go back. I take out fire scene tape and tape off the area.

((I did tap into a hydrant... can you not read? But yeah, normally in real life if it's an open area like that I don't bother, as I'm usually pretty far back.))

((I don't feel like reading through it. Anyways, you should know engine ops is fire suppression, you guys are truck. SCBA's are supposed to be used in any incident involving fire. Also 1" lines aren't attack lines, their mop up lines. You basically sent McEvoy to fight a 5 alarm fire with a garden hose. Anyways, he's higher rank, as forth telling you what to grab ))

"Engine 11 Disconnecting and beginning mop up."

**Grabs a rubbish hook off the engine**

(1" lines are standard reel lines aren't they? Or are they 1 1/4?))

(we don't have reels, but if your talking about the solid rubber, 1". Our standard on these for crosslays and attack are 1 3/4", we have 2 1/2", 1 1/2", then a 1" for mop up. We also have 4", but that's supply for the most part.)

**I turn on my B.A, put my mask on, check for seal, then click in. I then walk up to the burned area and begin sifting through the debris with the rubbish hook.**

((Wow I've been out of the fire game for too long. Our crew had a crown ambassador, that's the last engine I served on. I need to read up. Also The this morning I had to deal with a truck full of burning pot, I'm not feeling to good, I'm going to lie down.))

(Dang, haha, I'm on an American La France right now, we have 2 200' 1 3/4" crosslays, 200' of 1 3/4" on the back for foam, 800' of 2 1/2" hose set forward lay, 2 2 1/2" highrise packs with a gated Y and nozzles, a spare highrise pack with spanners and a decreaser, 800' of 4", 2 backboards, a 14' roof ladder, 24' extention, 10' attic ladder, a 6' and 10' pike pole, and a 5' rubbish hook. Then all our auto ex stuff in a compartment on the bottom. The rear of our engine's full of stuff, the 1 we're using here has less hose though because it has such a big tank >.<. Feel better!))

I'll be patroling for a late 80s Buick, 4 dr dark color.

"Large debris broken down, it's all good here. Just needs to be fenced off and taken out."

**I go back to the engine, take off my B.A mask, shut it all off.**

"What else needs to be done?"

**Exits Truck**

That was fun! I think to myself.

"What do you want me to do Garcia?"

"Alright, we're going to put away the hose now. Go up top and lets get this done."

**Grabs all the couplings and drags the hose to the back of the engine**

"Ok Garcia"

**I pull down the 2 metal steps next to the pump, then go up top. I open up the metal doors on top of the engine to expose the hose. I stand on top of the hose, and lay the hose flat on the bed, and make sure there's no kinks. **

Over the ERT TAC channel.
"Engine 11 requesting a task, over."

Stnad by to keep an eye out for other fires. Incase you missed a spot. AG1, please report now.

"AG1 to COPA, the vehicle we are looking for is a late 80's buick 4dr dark in color. Unknown plate and a HMA or WMA driver. Vehicle was last seen heading Northbound from the gas station. The Clerk believes its a normal that comes around his store and he goes by James unknown last."

"Roger we're holding"

10-4 bohl thanks, I'm heading up that road now.

"Engine holding."

**I pull out some water bottles and give them to everyone on the engine and truck**

*Opens Officer's door of the truck and sits down in seat and turns up radio in truck*

"Wow, I'm exhausted."

*starts to rest eyes*

I grab my wallet and go into the Kwik-e mart and grap a package of beef jerkey and a ginger ale and sit up in the cab.

**Opens truck door, sits down & trys to cool down a little bit**

"I'm tired!"

"Haha. Sitting here isn't too bad."

**I jump up into the captains side, grab my wallet out from under the seat, and go into the mart. I get a few bottles of coke, a large bag of chips, and some dip.**

"Hey, Ewan, McEvoy, want some chips?"

"No thanks"

*pulls out IPhone and start playing with the apps*

"Sure" I stick my hand into the bag and grab half of the chips that Garcia was going for. "Thanks." I say and smile. and go back to the ladder

"Haha, your welcome. You guys worked crazy fast, good job!"

**I open the dip, get some chips, dip and eat them.**
