*i start moving ruble outa the way for the guys to bring the vic through*

'Alright Zack, this one has to be yours. Mcguire, you might wanna take Zack's former patient, the one with the broken leg. When your ready we could move them to different stretchers or if you want to or just exchange stretchers.'

(I turn off ambulance lights just due to personal experience and preference. In real life, if we are in a driveway, or a scene where there will be little to no traffic, there's no need to keep lights on. Just wastes battery and attracts attention. Whereas if I was parked in the street, or at an accident scene on a roadway the lights stay on, maybe not all, but it least the side and rear flashers and the directional light stick (By law it must be on when the vehicle is in operation)

*I up raise the stretcher*

'Yeah, it's probably easier if we just exchange stretchers. I think he still has the BLS stretcher from a few calls ago anyway, haha.'

"McGuire to Ridgeback, the patient I have now requires better ALS treatment than the broken leg vic probably does. Do you want to just exchange stretchers and patient information?"

'Ok, I'll check on the car.'
*I run back inside.*
'Alright, lets see here...'
*I see no sparks coming out and no gas leaking out.*
"There is no fire and the gas has stopped leaking sir. The victims are also being treated by EMS."

Hey, once these vics are out of here lets drain the gas and oil into a contanier to make sure it wont leak again when TEC comes to pick it up." I say as I start to deflate the airbags.

I jog to the engine and open up the chemical compartment and take out the portable pumps.

"hey anders ill help you with those air bags"
*i run over to help deflate and dismantel the air bags*

"Hey thanks Beard" I say as it deflates, and i begin to fold it up.

'Ok, I'll sweep up the dry gas.'
*I grab a broom and walk back inside. I start to sweep up the dry oil and rubble off to one side.*
'Hey do you think we need to put up Do not cross tape?'

"yeah ill grab it"
*i run over to the ladder and grab a roll of do not cross tape, then hang it up all around the crash site*

I have Domino get in the drivers seat as I treat the vic. "ALS 1 enroute to the hospital. I'm gonna need a trauma team in the ER to treat him."

*okay, don't answer then* I think to myself sarcastically

"BLS-1 to Fire, do you have any paramedics available to ride to the hospital with us? Our vic needs ALS."

"Who, broken leg guy? uhhh.... I'm not ALS, sorry. You need ALS for him?"

"Negative, ALS-1 just left with the broken leg victim, I guess ALS didn't hear my previous transmission. See if you have anybody who can do ALS, I'll check with COPA if the city hospital has any units available."





COPA
"BLS-1 to COPA, ALS-1 just left with a victim, we have a victim who requires ALS, I'm having fire check if they can get anybody, but if not does the city hospital have any units available?"

*I push the stretcher into BLS-1 and take a seat.*

'Putter, you can drive to the hospital for this one. Cole, I'll take vitals, you write them down on the call sheet.'

"BLS-1 is en route to the hospital."

*Putter steps out, then into the cab. He turns on the lights and we pull away. I get out the Blood Pressure cuff.*

'150/95.'

*I take the pulse*

'75 for pulse.'

'I'm going to assume your chief complaint here is the broken right leg?'

'Yes, sir.' I nod for Cole to write that down.

'Any difficulties in breathing?'

'No.'

'Any neck, back, or head pains?'

'Nope.'

*I lean over and put the jumpbag back into the windowed cabinet*

'Alright, well we'll be at the hospital in a few minutes. Cole, continue asking the questions on the call sheet.'

*i finish putting the tape up and go over to help Hannahan sweep*

I pack up the pumps and any other equipment and hop in my seat and waterfall Hannahan's Gatorade while he's busy and not looking and I check my phone for messages and calls. I place my helmet on the dash and put my portable back on it's charger behind me.

'I'm done here. Can you help me pack hose and put the irons and speedydry away? Also, can someone unhook the supply line and turnoff the pump?'

*i check to make sure every thing is away, walk over to the ladder grab a drink*
"anders are you driving or am i?"

If you guys read above, I said I put all of thy away.

*I start putting the crosslays away by draining them, rolling them up, putting them back together and putting them back onto the hose compartment in flat lay format.*
'Alright, just need the supply line now. can someone help me out?'

I will...

'Thanks man.'
*We finish putting all of the equipment away and I go back into the building to see if anything is wrong.*
'Nope, nothing here.'

I think we're set to go!

'Yup, just gotta wait for Davis and COPA.'
*I sit in my seat behind Galligano.*
'You drive.'

*i climb in the drivers seat and adjust it and wait for the others to get in, and COPA to clear us.*

*I get into the cab after I grab a bottle of water.*

'Can I drive back?'

"This is Davis to COPA, we're gonna need a tow truck over here. Both vics are being transported now and there are no signs of fire. We will standby until we're clear."

*I sit in the officer's seat and take off my jacket and helmet. Then I reach over and turn off most of the lights except for a few flashers and the directional bar.*

'Sure Jensen, you can drive.'

*i shut off all the lights except the scene lights, and the directional bar*

I get out of the Pumper and start inspecting them, I then walk back to my Pumper and sit down.
'Have you guys ever noticed that these are all Velocity cabs? These are some of the newest cabs by Pierce.' *Which is why I sleep in it all the time )

I pull into the hospital, wheel him into the trauma bay give him to the truama team.Then I restock and clean the ambulance.

*The siren stops, I look out a window on the door as we slow down, and bounce a little as we turn into the driveway. I see the red LEDs flashing against buildings we pass, then we come to a stop. The engine shuts off, I give the an the clipboard*

"Sign here please, it basically says that we have provided treatment and transportation to the hospital for you."

*HE signs it. I put the board on the back of the stretcher and open the back doors, I jump out, and remove the stretcher. I roll it in. I give the information to the lady at the desk*

"Room 3." She tells us.

*We roll him into room 3, carefully move him over to the bed. I roll the stretcher out, change the sheets, wash my hands, and return to BLS-1. I step into the cab.*


"BLS-1 to COPA, I heard that fire is clearing the scene, we'll just remain at base unless you would like us to do otherwise."

*I drive around the corner and park in front of the break room, I grab a portable and go in.*

'Thanks Chuck, something else we need to do?'

*I take of my bunker jack and sit in the drivers seat, time for some water*

10-4 Burke. I shut the lights, pull the parking break out and pull away. Pumper-11 to COPA, we're going home.

"Ladder 1 is in service returning"
*i put the ladder in gear, shut off the lights, and pull away*

"10-4, Burke. Would you like me to give a report before we leave?"

Car Store Wreck: 16102010, 2350 hrs.

Units on Scene: P11, L1, S1, BLS-1, ALS-1

Summary: S1 arrived on scene and deployed it's flood lights while P11 cleaned up the fuel and shut off the power, preventing fires. All crews quickly extricated the victim and found the missing man. He was trapped under a beam and was transported by ALS 1 to the hospital, while BLS 1 was called and transported the victim trapped in the car. TEC took over from this point.

Other: All crews worked very efficiently and it was a short call. Both victims survied and no fires were caused. All-in-all, it was a pretty good call. Even EMS worked very efficiantly.

"S1 to COPA, we're all clear and heading back to base."

"COPA, am I cleared?"

Yes

"Thanks" I get in the ambulance and head back to base. "ALS 1 at base ready for call out"

I put the squad in drive and shut off the light while i'm driving off.
