Garage fire

I run around to the ladder and put the stabilizers down to prepare for deployment

I stay 50 ft back but move towards the pumper so I could have a different view

*Anders puts up the ladder and I climb up.*

"Alright guys, here comes some water. Raven, will we need a supply line from the pumper?"

*I begin to fight the fire with the cannon.*

*I stop spraying and I hook a line to the ladder from the pumper. I pick up the line again and continue spraying.*

"Thanks dude!"

*I keep putting water on fire at max pressure.*

"Alright demolition truck is here, keep the fire down as we take down the structure, Pumper 11, move in with foam after we take it down, put a blanket down." I say as the excivator backs off the truck and the operator moves it into position, I give a thumbs up and the excavator takes the back off. "Davis keep the water on the bucket."

I cover the excavator as it rips apart the garage...

"Your welcome Davis." I say as the fire gets smaller then flares up a bit then goes down as the excavator tears down the garage.
I check my environment and look around to see any hazards.
"Guys, watch out for that....melted thing in front of the garage when you're looking through debris. I'm just lettin' you know." I keep sprayin'.

"Continue mop up and putting out all the hot spots and stuff."

Problems : Some personnel not reading the call, unnecessary/misuse use of equipment. Someone making over dramatic situations.

**I keep looking for hot spots and spraying them if they flare up**

(I like the reports you do along with dc report, really sizes up the call.)

I move forward with the foam and put out the fire's I could see. As I get closer to the debris, I move some things with my hand and spray the smoke and embers under it.
"Lt, can I get a shovel and move debris away so other guys can see the embers and hot spots?"

((Sorry Garcia! I read the call AND the response page, but there was no ladder response. Maybe I read too fast.))

*I continue spraying on the fire as the excavator begins to knock teh garage down.*

"Thanks for the support, Hanahan!"

"No problem."
*The debris is still smoking in some areas so I see the smoke and spray it before I get close. I then move debris in front of me over so I could clear a path. I get to the smoking debris, extinguish it and move it over (put it in a pile of 'safe' debris). I then go on to the next section of debris.

"Watch it, Hanahan. You don't know what's under there."

*I continue sparying on the fire, but with much lower pressure.*

"Ok Davis."
*I watch my step more closely and find the melted....thing that I talked about and remove it and put it in the pile.*

I lower the pressure just a bit and shoot s hot spot that I found in the back

((oops? ax not suppose to be used to take out walls for venting?))

*I begin to lower the ladder as it is not need any longer*

It can be, it'll just take a bit longer than a rotary saw

"All spot fires in the front of the house are out."
*I bring the line back to the pumper and set it down. I grab the shovel from the middle compartment and start shoveling debris to the safe pile.

*After the ladder is down I go and grab a shovel out of the truck and help Hannahan*

"Thanks man. um...take the right side. I'll take the left side."

*"okay" I walk to the right side of the garage and begin to shovel*

"My side's done. I'll help you now."
*I got to the far left where Anders didn't start.*

*I pull in the outriggers and start rolling up the hoses.*

"Just clean up and stuff when you guys are done."

"Okay Davis, will do."
*I shovel up the last of the debris and check the back of the house.*
"Just a bit of ashes and burnt grass. Nothing much here. I'm going to put the shovels back and the other equipment back."

*I help clean up the scene, making sure all the tools are put back and such*

I start putting the hose away after disconnecting/connecting it. Hey Anders, can you help me with this please?

"yeah" I yell as I put the shovels I picked up back on the truck
*I then walk over and help Hannahan with putting away hose

"Alright"
*I put the last loop in and get off the side of the pumper.*
"Done. I'm going to check the house to see if anything is wring with it."
*I go through the house and find nothing. I say over the radio to the Lt.: "All clear, the house is fine." I come back out and look around.*
"Nope"
*I thank Anders and step into the pumper.*
"Ready when you are sir."

LF-1 Clear from scene, please check alarm centre, if unable to respond immediately, Lt. Please advise in scene

I quickly make sure all the compartments are closed, get in the front seat and make sure everyone's in.
"Alrighty."
*I put the pumper in drive, turn on the EQ2B, and drive off towards the highway.*

"10-4 DCBurke. L1 responding to bus accident."

*I jump in the Ladder, honk the horn, drive away, and hit the Q.*
