"ALS-1 is on scene"
I say as I jump out of the truck. I pull the stretcher out real fast and put the drug box, trauma bag, and heart monitor on it and jog it in the building. I get escorted into the lobby and see two people doing CPR as I walk in.
"Alright guys how long has he been down" I asked as I leaned down and put the heart monitor on him.
"He has been down for only two minutes"
I look down at the monitor and notice that he is in VFib. I charge the paddles and tell everyone to stop CPR and stand clear.
"CLEAR" I yell as I press the paddles to the mans chest. His body convulses and then goes limp. I check the monitor hoping that the shock did something but he is still in vfib. I tell the two to continue CPR.
"Damn" I say

"Alright guys lets try this again, everyone stand clear"
"CLEAR"
Paddles charged and I lay them on the mans chest and again he convulses and lays back down limp. I cross my fingers before I look at the monitor and all of a sudden he starts to breathe, the monitor shows a very bradycardic rhythm then it starts to go up to a more regular sinus rhythm.
"Very nice work guys on the CPR, now if I can just get help getting him on the stretcher?"
A couple people help me get him on the stretcher then we wheel him to the ambulance.
I jump in the back and start an IV in him just in case he codes again on the way to the hospital so I can push drugs.

"ALS-1 is out at the hospital"
I wheel the patient in and give the report to the nurse. I go and clean up the ambulance and then I am backing up to my spot at the hospital.
"ALS-1 is clear for call out"
