Chemical Explosion at James Highschool Room 301


We've just received request for response from the PFD, and a very specific call from 911. The Principal of James High is reporting an explosion caused by chemical spilled on a bunsen burner in the chem lab. Reports that there is no toxic gases in the area. The school has been evacuated because of a fire risk. The school's first responder is up there helping the two worst injured students. An unknown number of up to 7 more students were injured by exploded glass or by chemical burns.

Requesting the Light force on standby
Squad 1 respond Code 3 for medical assistance and have the Lt. check the area for fire. OSC for fire will be and will remain Lt. Raven.
1 Police unit please respond.

BLS-1 Respond.

Weather: Raining.
Traffic: Light
Time: 1405h
Concerns: Possibilty of injury to first responder. City EMS is checking out the other students from the lab. PPD is interviewing any uninjured. No units enter without SCBA on. Any EMS personnel entering the third floor please wear an SCBA tank or a rebreather.
MA Units: PFD Light equipment unit 3 is on scene with 4 firefighters checking the area, no other units with training avaiable to respond.

*I put on the ERT foul-weather jacket and step into BLS-1. I check the EAT to confirm the location of the school and best route. I turn on the engine, go to the end of the driveway, flip on the lights and sirens and drive away*

"BLS-1 responding, code 3."

"PC-5 rolling code 2." I jump into the car and start flipping the siren between phaser and manual.

(that's code 3 stabler)

((If he keeps it on the whole way, if he turns it off then it's code 2. Though you're right in this instance, he should be rolling code 3))

I pull out of the driveway in front of the bay and start blasting the EQ.
"Pumper 11 en route. uhhh....ETA 4 minutes"
*I put the radio down and weave safely in and out of traffic while some cars get out of my way, some don't. I wind up the Q as he slowly moves out of my way. I get up to Union street and make a left.*
